You might have better luck on this topic on the PvP board as many people here still focus on PvE.As to your question, it goes without saying, you should be using the best equipment you can afford. If you already have a higher level character that can afford to twink this one, then start out with full mastercrafted for your tier. Then slowly replace your gear with items dropped from nameds. Given that quite a bit of dropped equipment can be better than the mastercrafted, this is rather important. If you or your guild raids, then consider fabled. In general, for PvP a swash should be looking for armor with good mitigation. For this reason, chain is what everyone is wearing. Adding a leather piece or two isn't unheard of, though. Imbues, if you use mastercrafted, can be geared towards healing and/or offensive strikes. If you solo PvP a great deal, then the healing might be more useful as it gives you a little more staying power. When looking at the bonuses equipment offers, resistances must be considered above all. If you wear steel mastercrafted chain in T4, this is all the more important as it doesn't offer any resists. As for stat bonuses, strength if generally more favored but agi and int should also be considered. Stamina is usually paired with high str equipment so it's not usually an issue. As we are primarily a dps class, having decent weapons is a must. This only doubles in importance for PvP. Start with mastercrafted imbued and work from there. Use both a slashing and a piercing weapon if you can. Some swashies prefer to go full legendary/fabled, or have one mastercrafted and one legendary/fabled. I suspect you should make a choice dependant on what damage, stats and resists they offer. Round shields aren't really favored for PvP.Potions and poisons can greatly change your effectiveness in PvP. Make friends with an alchemist and don't look back. For more information regarding potions and poisons, there is a good link somewhere but I can't seem to find it. It should be on these boards somewhere, though.Just don't forget to update your CAs. Nice gear does nothing if you can't even scratch a wizard.

MN.

i dont actually play pvp but why lvl 30? id honestly go to lvl 32 where you have the option to equip master crafted armor made from rares. on top of this im not sure how low pvp rewards go but look at them.

The reason that many people cap their exp (permanently or temporarily) in the mid 20s to early 30s is because it's far easier to gain faction at those levels. In the places like the Commonlands or Antonica, the level range of who can attack out is 8 levels. This range only increases in the tier appropriate zones, which naturally decreases your prospects of surviving. A full group of low 30s, will generally die to a group of low 40s. Still, 32 is a popular level to cap at for the reasons you've mentioned.Naturally, people of both sides take advantage of the level ranges. Groups and raids of various levels tend to congregate in Antonica and the Commonlands to take advantage of the limited rage. It's also not unheard of for gangs of 70s to repeatedly gank people doing the carpet quest. Personally, can only deduce that they must be terribly bored indeed...MN.
