Cold and Dark

<DIV><SPAN class=postbody>Allexus awoke this brisk morning feeling cold and empty. There was a void now in her life, like a hole that needed filled. She gathered her armor and put it on. Then she grabed her sword, axe and bow and ventured out into the forest.<BR><BR>She stopped short of a pond and looked down into it. She saw the reflection and did not like what she saw for even though it was her, Standing straight in the brightest armor creating a glare upon the water, all she saw was something cold and dark taking over her complection. As a single tear fell from her eye and into the pond rippling the water she looked up into the sky then forward and continued to walk. Where she was going she did not know, all she knew is that she needed to go somewhere, someplace.<BR><BR>As Allexus walked the path infront of her she could hear whispers coming from the forest. Telling her not to take that path, telling her everything will be ok, telling her to just go back. She ignored these voices and continued on the path in an attempt to fill the hole. As she walked she heard shuffling in the brush. Allexus came to a stop and grabbed her bow and arrow. Holding it straight against her body, pulling back on it and watching the brush. With in a moment something jumped out of the brush and without a blink in her eye Allexus released her arrow. As the arrow pierced her foe it quickly fell to the ground. Allexus stood there for a moment then put her bow away and walked towards it. As she stood infront of it she looked at the motionless body at her feet. Allexus closed her eyes as the life slipped away from the black bear. As she opened her eyes, her eyes were filled with rage, red like fire, and empty like a hole. The forest cried out to her for it felt the pain of the bear as its life slipped away and Allexus stood and did nothing but watch.<BR><BR>A sense of satisfaction came over Allexus. Even though she was one with the forest, she felt no one was with her and there for she saught out revenge on anything that she laid eyes upon.<BR><BR>She left the dead bear laying in the middle of the path as she stepped over it not giving it a second thought and continued to venture down the path. What will the path lead her to? She doesn't know. What she does know is that when she killed that bear it filled part of that hole she was feeling. It did not fill it with love but with hate. Hate for anything that stands before her.<BR><BR>As Allexus walked the forest continued to cry out to her, the shadows of the forest clung to her trying to pull her back. But Allexus ignored it and continued on her path. Allexus heard someone crying ahead and as she got closer she took notice to a young woodelf female crouched on the ground against the tree. <SPAN>"What are you crying for child?" </SPAN>Allexus said to the girl. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"I have no where to go, I am scared..." </SPAN>The woodelf replied. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"SCARED? I will leave you be to squabble in your pity, I will not waste my time with such filth."</SPAN> Allexus' eyes began to turn red again as she spoke to the young woodelf. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"F..F..Filth? What do you mean we are the same.</SPAN> The woodelf cried out. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody>Allexus grabbed her sword in hand and said, <SPAN>"We are NOT the same! And I would take this sword to you with out a second thought. So I suggest you be on your way and not the same way as me if you know whats good for you." </SPAN>The woodelf was frightened and ran in the opposite direction of Allexus. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody>As Allexus began to walk again she felt a tear tracing down her cheek. She went to wipe it away and out of the corner of her eye she saw something red. It was on her fingers where she wiped her tear away. Allexus paused for a moment staring at the tear of blood that came from her eye as she rubbed it into her fingers. Her eyes were glazed with hate as she continued on her way.<BR><BR>The forest began to ask Allexus in whispers, <SPAN>"Why are you doing this? What is your reasoning? What course will you take next?" </SPAN></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN>Allexus answered with one sentance, <SPAN>"I answer to no one." </SPAN></SPAN></DIV>

<DIV><SPAN class=postbody>Allexus kept repeating to herself over and over <SPAN>"I answer to no one!" </SPAN>As if she was trying to prove it to herself.<BR><BR>Allexus began to hear screams of terror off to the side of the path. Allexus being curious she wondered off the path towards the screams. To her surprise she came across a hut up high in the tree burning a blaze in the morning's sky. At the base of the tree stood a Dark Elf holding a Woodelf woman in his arms trying to cover her mouth to keep her from screaming. <SPAN>"LEAVE NOW!" </SPAN>The Dark Elf man yelled to Allexus. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"What if I don't?" </SPAN>Allexus chuckled at that man. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"Then you shall suffer the same fate as this woman."</SPAN> As the Dark Elf said this he bit on the womans neck till she screamed threw his hand. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"As that may be very tempting, I will have to pass. You are not in my plans and because of that I shall move on." </SPAN>Allexus nodded and then turned her back to them. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"PLEASE HELP Me!" </SPAN>The woman managed to yell out. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody>Allexus turned her head towards the woman and said, <SPAN>"You are not part of my plans either, good day to you." </SPAN>The woman began to frantically scream and cry for she had no one to help her.<BR><BR>Allexus returned to the path that she came from. The expression on her face was heartless. She had no care as to what was happening to the Woman. The Forest cried out to her once more and whispered... <SPAN>"Allexus...you can not do this..." </SPAN></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN>Allexus sighed and spoke <SPAN>"I do as I wish! And spreading love and offering a helping hand is not what I am no more!"</SPAN> </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody>The Forest attempted once more...<SPAN> "But you are the Protector of the Forest...you are OUR Knight...You are OUR hope...With out you we will surely die..." </SPAN></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN>Allexus now enraged grabbed her sword and with one quick swing a tree came toppling down to her feet. <SPAN>"Then you SHALL die!"</SPAN> Allexus yelled to the Forest wind.  Allexus growing more irritated with every step she takes upon the Forest ground clenches her weapons into her hand awaiting for anything that may happen next.<BR><BR>After a few moments pass while walking down the path a Dark figure appears to be standing in her way. As Allexus makes her way towards him with no fear in her heart she stops just inches from him. <SPAN>"Another Dark Elf eh?" </SPAN>Allexus says to the man.<SPAN> </SPAN></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"You will surrendor yourself to me treehugger!" </SPAN>The Dark Elf said to Allexus.<SPAN> </SPAN></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"I surrender to NO ONE!" </SPAN>Allexus yells back as she draws her swords to the man.<SPAN> "I suggest you step to the side Inky." </SPAN>Allexus said. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"Watch your tongue if you care to keep it." </SPAN>The Dark Elf grinned as he drew his weapon.<SPAN> </SPAN></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"I will watch nothing! And to correct you I am NOT a treehugger." </SPAN>Allexus says as she takes her sword once again and a tree falls between the two of them. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody>The Dark Elf a bit confused now questions Allexus <SPAN>"You are a woodelf..." </SPAN></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN></SPAN></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"That may very well be but my motives are one not of my kind. You and I are very much alike but you can't see that because you are blinded by what you were taught. What you see and what things are, are two different things." </SPAN>Allexus explains to the Dark Elf. </SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><SPAN>"Ah! A traitor to your own kind I see...</SPAN> Before he could finish Allexus cuts him off <SPAN>"A traitor I am not! Unlike you, I am not blinded by the words that I was taught." </SPAN>The Dark Elf looks at Allexus with a puzzled expression upon his face. <SPAN>"Then join me." </SPAN>The Dark Elf says to Allexus. <SPAN>"I will join no one. I am alone and thats how I like it." </SPAN>Allexus begins to continue down the path. <SPAN>"We will see about that...till we meet again..." </SPAN>The Dark Elf says to Allexus before she is out of site.<BR><BR>The voices and whispers of the Forest have become more faint now. With every step that Allexus takes down this path, the Forest becomes more and more quiet and non existant to her.</SPAN></DIV>
