A few ideas for this story..Probably won't be too good, but I don't care :smileyindifferent: I just write cause I like to. :smileyhappy:
"Okay, so then we send a battalion of archers over to these mountains." Koen pointed to a cluster of mountains on a map that was spread on the table. "So they can take out an approaching army of gnolls while we, over here," he pointed again. "march out to this small village over here. The gnolls have probably been here, so we can take the village and set up an outpost. Then the Smallblade brothers and myself will head back to the guild's camp and give a report of what is going on." "It sounds good, but what if you and the brothers get attacked? Three gnomes and an elf. Can you four really kill an army of gnolls?" the young, experienced general asked. "Have you forgotten?" Koen chuckled. "I am the best fighter in Qeynos. And the Smallblades? Ghen is a powerful wizard. The youngest Gehn has the strength of a barbarian, and Geehn is the fastest dirge this world has seen. And he could lull anyone to sleep with that singing.""Ahh..ha! I suppose you are right. But, what am I to do? My men? What do they do?""I told you. You go with me to the village. And your men stay at the village, while my men, commanded by a trustworthy man, Zadrek, great fighter and leader, leads them to the archers so they can come back to the camp. I will take my men back to you, and we attack the gnolls hiding near Maj'Dul. It will take time, but with the archers guarding the camp, we won't lose that. As for the Training Grounds we are at now, Zadrek is going to ride back and train new recruits to guard this place. He has served this military guild since I had the idea to start it. He was the first follower of mine. I trained him myself. He can do this.""Ahh..okay. I need to pay attention..or something. Hah." the general responded, his cheeks turning red. He adjusted his helm to hide his embarrasment."Nah! But anyway, lets go to the Warrior Houses and tell the men about our plans." Koen was starting to roll up the map. But before the two could head out the door, a barbarian burst through the door."Sir-Sir Koen! Attack! Gnolls! Armies! Tons! Armed! Well!" he was gasping for breath."What!? Where are they? North? South?"The barbarian was too exhausted to respond. He pointed south. The armory. Also near the Warrior Houses. "Ha! Foolish gnolls! The warriors will kill them in no time!" Koen said, relieved. But that wasn't how it was. There were tons of gnolls that were well armed. Imbued weapons and armor. But how? The gnolls can't be that smart, can they?"Florm, get out there and start hacking. I'll get the archers, if they aren't already out there. Go!" Koen yelled. He drew his sword. The gnolls probably had gotten in the Plan room. It was an important room. Koen called it the Plan room so people thought it was worthless and stupid. He thought no one would care about a room named the Plan room."They better not have gotten in there! The gods help me in battle! They would smite all the gnolls!" Koen said in a loud whisper to hiself. He started to walk faster, and broke into a run. "For the Faydark and the Knights of the Shield!" Koen cried and kicked down the door to the Plan room.
To be continued...

Message Edited by Ranbinous on 05-05-2006 07:43 PM

Message Edited by Ranbinous on 05-05-2006 07:45 PM

"Gah! Take that you damned gnolls!" Koen was screaming as he kicked down another gnoll. "Ha! That'll teach you! It is a shame..you leader sent the weakest gnolls in the armies here! Ah well, what do I care? Take this!!" he screamed again and took a gnoll's head off. "That's the last of of them," Koen said to hiself, and sheathed his sword. As he ran out the door, he kicked a dead gnoll in the head."General Florm, the gnolls are fleeing. It appears back to where they came from, however, we have a scout that thinks otherwise. He was in the Tower when he spotted a lone gnoll running around down the hill to the west. He thinks this gnoll is waiting for the other armies and the scout set out to look for any weapon or food stashes the gnolls may have. I saw Sir Koen heading that way. I think we should go there. Leave the archers here." It was Zadrek talking."Hmm..I think you are right. We go on foot. Get the others, I'll be waiting near the edge of the hill, by the Provision Building," Florm responded."Got it," Zadrek said and started to run towards the other soldiers. "Men! Get over here! We're heading down the hill!"Koen was on his horse now, with his spear in hand, and shield on his back. He was changing his plans. He was heading down the hill to an approaching army of gnolls. He knew they were coming. "I only hope I can take enough out, to give the guild time!"As Koen was approaching the bottom of the hill, he heard a voice, "Sir! Koen!" It sounded like..Florm. "Koen! KOEN!!" Yes, it was Florm. He was impatient. "Florm?!" Koen called."Yes!" he responded. "What are you doing? The gnolls are attacking up there!""No! They are heading down there! All of them!""Damnit!" Koen said under his breath. "Get down here!""What do you think I'm doing? Zadrek is on his way with the warriors!""Good! Is he coming now?""Yes, he's right here!""Well, get down here then!!" "Men, slide down on your shields. If you don't have one slide down on your [Removed for Content]!" Florm commanded, and he did the same."Florm, are you crazy!?" Koen yelled as one of the soldiers passed him. "Don't worry," Florm responded. "Look, you aren't hurt, and no one else is, so-but he was cut off by an arrow whizzing by his face. "[expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]!" he screamed, and charged into an army of gnolls."Florm! Get back-nevermind! Men, CHARGE!!" Koen screached, and ran into the army, his warriors following. "GAH! The gods are on our side! They shall smite all of you!" Koen roared. Thunder sounded, and lightning striked. Not at Koen, a tree, or any humans or elves. It striked the gnolls. Not all of them, but most. There was a deafening sound of gnolls screaming in pain. Koen thrust his spear into a gnoll's chest, as did all the others."Koen, was that even a battle?" Florm asked.Koen paused. "I..I don't know. The gods killed them, and we didn't get touched. I think there is something else. More. But there can't be.""GNOLLS!!" everyone turned. An archer screamed it. "THE EAST!! TONS!!""That boy has one strong voice, doesn't he?" a soldier asked."Who cares! Get up that hill and head east! Now! That's an order. NOW!" Koen yelled, worry in his voice. He worked too hard with all of this guild. It wasn't falling, not while Koen lived. He mounted, and rode up the hill to defend the one home he had left.
To be continued...
