View Full Version : The Temple of Cazic-Thule
<DIV>I have never seen this before and I may just have missed it but i'm betting this goes in line with Stormhold. Apparently in the two chambers the lizardmen have placed sacrificial style idols. Take a look at the pictures from the two different rooms.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/5821/eq2000120bg2.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/163/eq2000121at4.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Are the lizardmen preparing for Cazic-Thule's arrival into our world? Or are these nasty little buggers trying to summon something?</DIV>

<DIV>Those things have always been there. They're used for a quest. I forget which.</DIV>

I'm pretty sure you see the same idols in the chamber where you summon the guy for the end of the screaming mace.<div></div>

Haha.. to be fair, Cusa's thinking of the little harvestable idols of fright/terror, etc that spawn elsewhere in Cazic... those have been down there forever. However, every time Cusashorn gets dev-corrected is a special moment to savor... so I'll just mention that those 'idols' in the screenshots are a different model/design from the harvestable ones too. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

There's also an idol on top of each of the smaller pyramids on top. When I try and click them from a distance, in the space between their legs, I get a Too Far message, but when I try and use it closer up nothing. I'm guessing a future quest will involve them.<div></div>

<DIV>Well back to the matter at hand if the Lizardmen are using these icons in preperation of their god returning does this mean other people are doing the same? Right now we have a couple of the gods confirmed and making their apperance however I wonder what other gods will decided to make their presence known. Erollsi marr and Karana seem absent from this mess and it makes me wonder if they are still waiting/watching to see what happens. I'm also wondering if they will seclude themselves and stay hidden or if they will act when the time is right.</DIV>

<P>I doubt the other followers are prepaired to welcome back thier gods in the same manner, Amana.</P> <P> </P> <P>The Lizardmen are tribalistic cannibals who worship a dark god. Thier culture easily show they prefer to use idols and stuff like that to show devotion to thier god.</P> <P> </P> <P>That's not the same for the other gods.</P> <P>Go look at the Solusek Ro followers in Lavastorm. They're welcoming his return by having a huge festival of fire and flames and fireworks and other enjoyable activities that don't begin with F.</P> <P> </P> <P>Quellious worshippers don't even show anything. They just silently and peacefully welcome her back.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P><A href="http://www.gucomics.com/archives/view.php?cdate=20030116" target=_blank>Oh yeah. As for the Mithanial Erollisi thing... I thought I'd bring this GU Comic up just for kicks.</A></P>

<DIV>You made a rather broad statement, and I'm not particularly interested in assuming specifics. Your post made it seem as though lizardmen, in general, as a species, are cannibalistic, which is false - not everyone on this board can read your mind I'm sure you are well aware of.</DIV>

<DIV>Also, there is no E in Alliz, It's Alliz Tae Ew, Alliz Evol Ew, and in the deserts, Alliz Raef Ew</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We Eat Zilla</DIV> <DIV>We Love Zilla</DIV> <DIV>We Fear Zilla</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Some interesting background info on the Raef Ew is in the EQ2 Atlas...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And yes, the cannabilistic Tae Ew have traditionally ran the temple, using the blood of sacrifices, yes, even of other Ew, to quench the thirst of their god, Cazic-Thule. Though recently, others have been pulling their strings.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>For a while, control of the Temple was split 50/50.</DIV>
Well i'm kinda curious about the evil eyes buisness in the temple of Cazic thule. You see them running about in Obelisk and i'm wondering if there is some connection to this. The Evil Eye musings provide little info about these unusual critters and the only thing I know is that they speak the words of the druziac *words of pure magic*.
