Well since people go on and on about this place, I'd like to understand more about it:Cabilis: Home of the Iksar, which was crushed and flooded during the shattering from what I've heard. When was founded and what became of the previous settlement? (Sebilis)Field of Bone: I read that this was ancient battlefield where dragons fought the iksars. Was anything else in here that was special?Swamp of No Hope: Another iksar newbie zone?Lake of Ill Omen: I...don't know anything about it. What was so ominous about it?Emerald Jungle, Warsilks Woods, The Burning Wood: Kunark has a lot of forests doesn't it? Was there anything to these places that made them special compared to Nektulos, Faydark, Toxxulia, etc.?Trakanon's Teeth: I doubt that's his actual teeth....but was Trakanon buried here after the war or....?Dreadlands: I heard of Drachnids that roamed here. Were they from Mistmoore? If so...why? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Firiona Vie: This was an elven outpost? When was it formed, and why wasn't it made into a more permanent foothold? And how's the EQ1 mascot of the same name connected? The Overthere: The most inspecific named region of Norrath I've heard......Frontier Mountains/Dragon Drool/Lake of Dismay: Well, you get the idea from my previous two topics....what are they, where they in game, etc. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>Trak's Teeth were Mountains</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dreadlands were desert like wastelands that formed into snow capped mountains to a huge lush tall treed forest with orange, yellow, and red leaves (it was quite stunning actually) Firiona Vie was an elven outpost on Kunark but the surrounding areas were dangerous. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Frontier Mountains full of giants</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Overthere, dark elf, ogre, troll, evil race outpost on Kunark.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lake of Ill Omen, had goblins, lions, and the Sarnak Fort. The goblins had a dungeon under the lake. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Field of Bone: You nailed it</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Karnors Castle, Drovlarg Castle in The Dreadlands</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kunark was mainly a jungle continent, thats why so many forests.</DIV>

<DIV>Sebilis was still around in EQL, inside Trakanon's Teeth. It was a very dangerous area. The dragon Trakanon came and took over this city, and it fell into ruins. Trakanon still lives there. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Field of bone was, at one point, a large water reservoir for Cabilis. Durring the fighting the land was charred and there is no longer water in the reservoir and it's pretty dry area. (Near the ocean though.) The dried up area that was the reservoir is called the pit, and a lot of undead roam that area (as well as other creatures). There are also dragon skeletons in the pit. </DIV> <DIV>Also, there was Kurn's tower in this area. Overrun by undead and burynai now. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The swamp was just a swamp pretty much. There was a Froglok village there though, they were not nice Frogloks. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The lake of ill omen use to house a city called Veksar (I believe?), it was cursed and sunk. You can visit it still though. There was a large Sarnak castle here, as well as some goblin mines. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kunark had a lot of firest and jungle area, most zones were pretty heavy forested. Emerald Jungle was a dense jungle, in the middle of which is the city of mist. Warsliks was near Cabilis, it had a forest giant outpost (or two..?) in it. The Burning wood is actually a charred area, not much of a wood anymore. Chardok, a large Sarnak city, was in this zone. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Trakanon still lives in Sebilis. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Drachnids did roam the dreadlands (As well as parts of Firiona Vie), ive heard that Mistmoore did create them. I dont really remember the story. Someone else might be able to help you there. From the dreadlands you could get to Karnor's castle.. home of Venril Sathir..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Firiona Vie was the light elven outpost. It was never fully built in the years and years they were there (I believe now its been taken over by dark elves, as part of a story line for EQL). There is a statue of Firiona Vie there. I believe it was built because Firiona was kidnapped, and they were trying to get her back.. memory is a little sketchy here.. I never really cared for her..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The overthere, it was the outpost for the evil races. There was a large pit in the middle, which lead into the zone called howling stones. You could also get to skyfire mountians from there as well, a rocky area with lots of lava. You could enter Veeshan's peek from here. It is the fortress for the ring of scale.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fronteer mountians was in game, it was a mountan/forest area. Forest giants had a fort here. And the goblins had two connected zones, Temple of Droga and mines of Nurga.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dragon's drool and lake of dismay werent really in game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Kamimura on <span class=date_text>03-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:00 AM</span>

<DIV>I'm not sure if they deliberately stole it or not but the lake in the SNES Zelda game the lake is also called Lake of ill Oman.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ill Oman, btw, was the absolute greatest, funnest zone in the game during its peak.</DIV>

<DIV>Oh yeah, there were two other zones as well..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kaesora could be reached be going into some ruins in Field of Bone. Im not sure that there was much of a story to this place? You went underground by going down the stairs in one building. There was a lot of ruins, parts of an old city it looked like, had a library and a part of an old temple. Possably that whatever ruined Field of Bone was the cause for this as well. A lot of undead, spiders, and other strange thins. Xalgoz was one of the big guys in there, he's a Sarnak. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, Crypt pf Dalnir, off from Warsliks woods.  This was once a tomb, now taken over by the Kly (a group of sarnak) who do strange experiments there. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kunark was surrounded by the sea called 'timorous deep'. There was an island that was an outpost for evil races (run by ogre). On that island there was also a spiroc (type of avaiak) village. There was another island outpost for good races, run by wood elves. There were a few other islands with bandits, and wildlife. There were underwater ruins, and a sunken boat. What was most interesting about this zone, however, was the underwater 'wizard spires'. This area lead to a chamber under the water, with lots of firepots. Each firepot was the style of a certian city. Clicking on a pot for one city would actually take you to that city. </DIV>

The field of bones was where the great dragon of the first broods skeleton was. The skeleton was Jaled Dar's who was the leading member of the Ring of Scale faction of dragons but later his daughter Phara Dar took over. Trakanon never died he was only poisoned and was banished form the Ring of Scale. He still lives in Old Sebilis as a green dragon, he use to be blue.
