Okay, I am alittle confused about this, so any help is much appreciated.

Lets start 500 Years ago in EQ1. You could only see Luclin from PoSky at the time. The moon you saw each night in regular zones was that rocky moon (the name escapes me at the moment.)

Now its 500 Years later and Luclin blew up. Now as far as I know, that blown up moon in the EQ2 sky is Luclin. But people tell me there is another moon in the sky (the moon from EQ1 that you could see normally.) However from Antonica I cannot see this second moon. Can anyone clear this up please? Is that blown up moon in the sky really Luclin? Where is the other moon? Thank you.

Yes, the blown up moon is Luclin.

Drinal is the other moon you can see, it was the one you could see in EQL. It appears sometimes at day, sometimes at night, sometimes clouds are in the way, sometimes it is near Luclin or the sun, and so on. It can be hard to find sometimes, but it is around. (Or, should be anyway.)

Yeah I've seen it before, it's out there.. somewhere.I didn't play EQ1, are there any races/mobs/history on the non-blown up moon?

No, Drinal is pretty much like our moon. Not much there.

What is interesting is that there are 3 other moons, one of which has rings and an atmosphere much like Luclin did. Makes me wonder if they'll ever use that moon someday...

I knew of the other moons, but I only knew they were talked about in the eql monk epic (and vague enough to have doubt that they even are talking of other moons at all, especially because of no mention of luclin?). Where did you hear about another moon with rings and atmosphere?

I believe the other moon with the atmosphear and rings is somewhere tucked away in the lore. I could be wrong though. I've also talked about it with a few guildies the other night. If I have time in the next couple of days I'll do some researching into it since i enjoy looking into a gaming worlds story.

I saw Drinal in the night sky, the ruins of Luclin following behind. A glowing orb chases Drinal, is this our sun? Thought I would share.

If you D/L the wallpaper from the RoK site, You can see Drinal alot closer than Luclin.

It's is slightly hidden in the clouds of the island view wallpaper though.

It must be a locational thing when viewing I think. I can see Luclin waaay better in Qeynos and Drinal is smaller.

So If Drinal appears larger on Kunark, It's logical to assume that it is that way because Kunark is further south than Qeynos, hence Luclin is smaller.

Hey, I looked high and low for posts related to the second moon. I dug hard to find this one.

Honestly, I've never been persuaded by arguments against so-called 'necro posting'.

Is it better to start a new thread about, (any given topic), every 6 months or so, and then proceed to re-post all the information concerning said topic, or to add to an existing thread, (of whatever age), that has already presented and discussed the information?

Obviously, (someone), feels that they have something to add to a previous discussion, or wants information, or they would not have gone to the trouble to search past forum threads on the subject in the first place.

I, (personally), would rather have all information on Nagafen and Vox, (for example), concentrated into one thread, than to have the same information posted, and re-posted, and re-posted yet again, in half a dozen threads covering the same material!

If nothing else it would be far more efficient and less of a chore to research any particular subject.

The only problem I see would be that the older posts of a thread might have been rendered out-dated by newer expansions or developments.

However, I see that admonition as merely a Straw Man argument.

Agree, or disagree as you choose, it is merely my own point of view.

I actually prefer the necro-posting here in the History and Lore forum and have asked the moderators not to lock threads in this particular area of the boards. It's better to bring up an older post that already contains a lot of discussion on a lore topic than to start a new one and rehash or relink everything.

LOL and if the guy didn't "necro-post" Cusa would have stated how this has been hashed over years ago blah blah blah and link the original thread.
