<DIV>It looks as if you are trying to link a picture from your computer..? You'll have to host it on a site first...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Extra moon? Are you seeing two moons? The shattered one is Luclin, which you could not see from Norrath in EQL. The second moon is Drinal, it has always been there, and was the visable moon in EQL. They look close together sometimes, not because they will hit or anything, it is just how their orbits send them. You can see them pass in front of the sun sometimes as well, as a sort of eclipse.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(Now though, if you are seeing three moons, that would be an interesting picture. o_o)</DIV>

there are actually five moons that orbit Norrath. The only one we saw in EQ1 and the one we see in EQ2 that looks like our moon is called Drinal. The one that looks shattered in Luclin(which you could NOT see in eq1) the other three are not visable from the surface of Norrath. There orbits are so far out the only place you saw them was in the Plane of sky in EQ1. so don't expect to get a good look at them anytime soon. (also around the 5th year annv. of eq1 they did a graphics update of the sky in the game. not sure about now but then the sky in that zone became all screwed up so dunno if they fixed it or not)

<DIV>eh it linked fine last night dunno what happened. yah it is the 2nd moon i thought the only one was luclin. but was pretty cool because they were right next to each other pretty much. So Luclin was not visible in eq1 either that was the other one you were speaking of?</DIV>

<DIV>Yes, been stated numerous times.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Luclin had a ring around it (I think...) kind of like Saturn. The only place in EQ1 you could see Luclin was in the Plane of Sky and The Dreadlands of Kunark. Drinal is the one that looks like our moon, always been there, always been called Drinal.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know lots about Drinal because that was the server I played on in EQ1 <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>ah ok thanks for the info i love the lore with norrath but dunno how i never heard of it. i didn't know the name so couldn't do a search or anything. Well its really cool being able to see both and i didn't have time to ftp the file to my website to link it here so tried doing it from my computer itself.</DIV>

<DIV>Now there is debate on what the "sun" of the system Norrath is in is called. I have heard Solaris but I have also heard it called Ro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ro would make sense as Solusek Ro and Fenin Ro are gods of flame and fire. Maybe Solaris is the system name itself?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would assume since Sol is our own sun's name it wouldnt be similar in Norrath :smileyindifferent:</DIV>

<DIV>I believe the sun is called Ro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Some say the moons are named off in part of the EQL monk epic.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The following is the text from the book of Immortals:<BR>The immortals who can be spoken of are not the Eternal Immortals. Their Spoken names are not the eternal names. In the namelessness they are the beginning of heaven and earth. <BR>Named they are one of the ten thousand things. Though different in title they spring from one source and appear as darkness Darkness within darkness. The gate to their mystery. The immortals do not go forth. All comes to them. They are like the ocean, the king of ten thousand streams. By staying beneath they are a receptacle for all things. They do nothing. Yet are masters of the universe. Trorsmang! Be our course of action. Anbeal! Become the Vessel to hold our virtue. Drinal! Be our stability, where we can take root. Cordan! Fill our vessels and calm our ambitions. Norrath! Take our husks and breathe life into them. We beseech you! Guide us in your humility. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Im not so sure though if those are actually the names of moons, or maybe other celestial bodies, or even something else. </DIV> <DIV>Luclin did have rings, you use to be able to see it in plane of sky. I never knew you could see the 3 other moons from there though. They did update the sky, and last I knew, it did mess up the ability to see Luclin from sky.</DIV>

It seems kind of weird that the people talked about in the Monk epic wouldn't atleast know of Luclin,e specially since the book is called "The Book of Immortals". But, if Trorsmang was a moon, it would make the Bo Staff of Trorsmang a logical name, as no one knew what the heck that was, he sure isn't a god, unless they're keeping some from us. That leads to the question of why we wouldn't be able to see the moons Anbeal, Trorsmang, and Cordan, or for what reason they were veiled like Luclin was, and how the veiling didn't disappear when Luclin was shattered, or something. I wish we could get more in depth lore about the celestial bodies of Norrath(I'd love to know what constellations have been thought up, if there are any other planets in the solar system, and, of course, the moons).I concur on the name on of the sun being Ro. It would make sense. Considering I don't think Norrathians know latin, so it'd be hard for Solari to be associated with bright burning entity(sol solis being latin for sun), where as both Fennin and Solusek Ro would easily be identified with this.<p>Message Edited by Kilopy on <span class=date_text>02-08-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:11 PM</span>
