I believe I read awhile back that there would be advantages to maintaining an EQ1 and EQ2 account. Outside of the heirloom (painting) that you /claim in EQ2 for having another account, is there any other benefit of having both accounts at the same time?

<DIV>Well, if you have yourself set up on the all access pass you get 4 more characters to play for eq2. :/ Thats about the only other thing ive noticed.</DIV>

<DIV>Don't forget you also get the "of ____" suffix tag.  Like, I played on E'Ci, so my EQ2 toon is Faeoryn of E'Ci</DIV>

<DIV>I'm hoping for quests that somehow start in EQOA... have another step in EQ1.. and finish in EQ2... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>think they will do it?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I hope not, maybe in EQ1 and 2 but not OA. OA has a LOT of continuity errors in it concerning lore so I dont count it as legit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Although RP standpoint my chracter in EQ2 is the 9th generation of halfling named Ogie Oglethorp and his ancestors have always been fighters (Warrior in EQ1) so I am continuing that story.</DIV>

I want to say my Bard is a descendant of my Warrior from EQOA, being of a family of gnomes that's actually cursed with being awful at magic, so they tend to stick to professions that depend on the Sword more than the Staff. However, I have no idea what a Gnome's lifespan is in Norrthian Lore, so I can't say he's the IV or XIX or whatever- D&D puts the age at 450 years, but I don't think I should go off that.

<DIV>According to the eq rpg book gnomes live about 200 years average, 500 maxium. Some people go by those ages, some just use them as a guide. Up to you really.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The ages from that book are what I used for all my character histories and such, mostly because I had nothing else to go by, and they seem pretty reliable.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Kamimura on <span class=date_text>01-03-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:33 PM</span>

<DIV>Ahh to heck with being a decendant. My main in EQ2 is the same as my main from EQLive. How did this occur you might ask? Enchanted Sleep? Nope. Stuck in Stasis for 500 years? Nope. Teleportation accident? Nope. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone remember the boat bug in EQ Live where occasionally the boat will just decide to zone without you? That happened to me...alot. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So thats how my character wound up in the antonica of the "future." This time the darn boat not only zoned with out me but dumped me in the middle of the ocean 500 years after everything she knew and loved was gone. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Shes adjusting quite well and is back on her way to earning paladin status. Although she will get angry whenever you mention the Qeynos port authority in her prescence.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(Btw names Taerese on Lucan) </DIV>

My main has a different name than my main in EQLive but I still use the "of Firiona Vie" title. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>While we're on the somewhat topic of age and descendrentry, what's the life span of an Iksar?</DIV>

<DIV>Forget time travel accidents <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>My EQ toon is a defiler, and what do defilers do? enslave the spirits of their ancestors, unfortunatley for one defiler in training, when he tried to prove his mastery over his ancestor (my main on SZ) he was overcome by the spirit of the long dead Shaman who enslaved the body mind and soul of the EQ2 shaman of the same name and took over his body. When he appears in wraith form he is at his peak of power (hence the buffs) and when he appears in his normal form his powers are weaker and drained and the spirit of the enslaved shaman is trying to retake his body.</DIV> <DIV><BR>on a side note, does the all access pass now allow SWG access? I thought it was just the crappy Tanarus games, EQ1 PS and EQ2 you got access too. Adding SWG and 4 more slots and free adventure packs might be worth the money, even though I hate SWG maybe now that my character has been erased, starting a new character might re-ignite what brief enjoyment i had from that game in Beta <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Well I didnt play EQLive but my character's story fits nicely with a possible ancestor. Basically, my Cazicite grew up in Paineel with his family who tended to an ancient tomb. If I HAD played EQLive, that would be my old character's tomb <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>My character is not a decendant of any of my EQ1 characters. Also, even though I never played on the Innoruuk server, since he is a dark elf, he is Xakul of Innoruuk, because that is the god he stubbornly worships.</DIV>
