<DIV>From what I heard some time ago, Kunark sunk, But I have no postive sources on that. If anybody has heard or knows anything about what has happened to my homeland please tell  me as soon as possible. I know the answers I seek lie somewhere in the Ferrot in the temple of Cazic thule, but as of now I am not strong enough to go there yet. Also Has anybody seen any iksar skeletons running  around?? I have reason to believe that Venril Sather is not dead, especially since I know he is and immortal undead lych much like Lucan D'lere, and with that said please tell me if anybody has seen any iksar skeletons cause that would mean he is reviving his undead army. thanks for your time</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Why the Feerott? There were lizard men there, but they were not Iksar. It wasnt part of Kunark.</DIV>

<DIV>In the tome "The History of the Iksar" (I think that's what it's called) it says Cabilis (or Cabalis if you're one of the dumb misspelling NPCs littering the Scale Yard :smileymad: )  sunk during the Shattering (how they know this I have no clue); it says nothing about the fate of the rest of Kunark.</DIV>

<DIV>I know the Ferrott wasnt part of cabalis, but the temple of Cazic thule rest there, and surely some information about the creation of his children lies there.</DIV>

<DIV>That temple was built by the Lizardmen; ain't got nuthin' ta do with the Iksar.</DIV>

<DIV>I think he is aware that the Allize Vole Lizardmen of Cazic Thule Temple are not Iksar. He is saying that since both races of lizardmen were created by and worship CT, that the temple might have some info about Kunark.</DIV>

<DIV>I know both races were created by Cazic, but I dont see why the lizardmen there would have information about Kunark. Iksar never seemed very interested in the place either. The Iksar were sailing to an outpost in the ocean of tears to attack Faydwer. They didnt make it, because the seas were too rough so they ended up getting stuck in Freeport. From what I can see, most Iksar dont even care for Cazic anymore - feeling abandoned. A better bet would be to do or read up on the history of Iksar quest, and speak with all the Iksar NPCs in/around Freeport. If I had to guess, they'll release a Kunark expansion someday (or at least,  hope so!) and we can see what happened to the place first hand. </DIV>

<DIV>I thought I read/heard that the Lake of Ill Omen overflowed it's banks, flooding Cabilis.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I cannot wait to see what they did to our home. I had many fond memories of the Field of Bone, Karnor's trains and Old Sebilis</DIV>

Actually, it says the LOIO overflowed it's banks and compromised the land under the city, ao Cabilis half sank, half washed away, during the Cataclysms. During the Shattering a boatload of Iksar got trapped on Antonica, and holed up in Freeport with the other evil races. As to the Continent itself, I imagine it's in pretty much the same state as Antonica, shattered into individual islands.

<DIV>Actually, I believe the Temple of Cazic Thule was created by no mortal being but rather it was simply placed onto Norrath.  It has been stated several times that the stone which the temple is built from matches no minerals in the area and that the Feerott has a very close tie to the Plane of Fear (hence the reason there was a portal between the two back in EQLive).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The strongest evidence that there may be some clue to the fates of Kunark, Cazzy, and Iksar in general occurs in the Tome of Destiny.  When the iksar were first created, they were born into a life of slavery to the Shissar.  The only thing that saved the race from a permanent life of servitude was the Green Mist, a toxic fog that decimated the snakemen leaving everything else untouched.  This same Mist emerged from the Temple of Cazic Thule and surgically removed the ogre menace that threatened Qeynos and Freeport during the Rallosian Wars.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does that mean I think there will be some explanation about what happened to Kunark in the Feerott? Not at all.  I think we will know about as much of what happened to kunark as we will about every other major continent outside of "Antonica" which is merely vague rumors.  I love the way they have played the lore so far, and I don't expect them to tell the end of the story in the first chapter.</DIV>

It was groundbreaking as far as MMORPG's go.

i really hope Kunark's not lost forever. It really was the best part of EQL, ever. The Sebilisian empire was such great lore that I felt compelled to transplant it into my D&D campaign - Along with hteir rivals, the Di'Zok.Which reminds me... I want to see Sarnak enabled as a PC race for evil is Frogloks are ever released on the side of good. Sarnak are just... cool.

<DIV>really?? I thought that sarnaks where just to skinny and bony looking to be a durable race ( not to say im not skinny, lol) though the whole half iksar/dragoon thing would be cool to rival froglocks ( they were iksar and dragoon right?? I seem to forget) anyways it would certianly be an interesting concept</DIV>

<DIV>Iksar and DRAGON, not dragoon, a dragoon is a lancer of sorts, most of the Tier`Dal knights were Dragoons.</DIV>

<DIV>Relatively speaking, Cabilis was on high ground, if cabilis is gone chances are msot of Kunark is gone, but who knows. Lake of Ill omen was fed from higher ground, really it didn't make sense, somehow teh water magically floated uphill from Firiona Vie, then back down, into LOIO.  If you left Cabilis going towards the jungle, it was a long drop down to teh jungle, going to teh swamp it was fairly flat all in all, but still was higher ground than Firiona Vie to the south.</DIV>
