View Full Version : Half Elves with the advantage now?

Just thinking about it while running through qeynos the other day and kinda thought to myself "How would it feel to be completely displaced from your home".. And it also occured to me that Half Elves never had a home really or a heritage. So they are probably at an advantage from a lore stand point at this point in time.. They haven't had to suffer the emotional distress caused by being displaced... They've always been displaced. Just thinking out loud. SG I will lead the Ayr'Dal to a place they've never seen.....home

<DIV>That is like saying an orphan whose parent's died at birth is better off than a person whose parents died when they were in their thirties or forties.  I think the reality is more along the lines that they struggle to either embrace their human heritage or their elven.  Neither of which will ever truly satisfy them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just my thoughts...</DIV>

<DIV>I dont know if they're better off, or at an advantage, but now other races are starting to understand how they feel a little.. However, half elves still dont fit in with either parrents culture, but the other races still have at least some of theirs in their new home. </DIV>

<DIV>Technically the haflings didn't defeat the DEs.  Though the lil wusses could only raise the gusto to attack while the bulk of the DE armies were away clensing the unclean elves in Faydark, their attack played directly into the Queen of Neriak's plans.  Read up on the history of the Teir'Dal thread, the DEs actually moved further into the Underfoot and collapsed the foreign quarter and sealed the tunnels behind them.  This move forced the ratonga out as they are vermin and were being exterminated, as they should be, by the new masters of the deep underfoot!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BUT the DEs still in Neriak view those of us out here as vermin as well, we're all Thexians to them and thus as unpure as the other races of Norrath.  Hate will thrive amongst the Teir'Dal, not only against the other races, but our own!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any bets on Innoruk being the first god to return, proud of his children and their accomplishments?  =p</DIV><p>Message Edited by Gobbwin on <span class=date_text>12-15-2004</span> <span class=time_text>10:19 AM</span>

<DIV>Kerra can probably adapt better than Iksar, not that they particularly LIKE their situation, but they don't .... dwell...on it so much as the lizard men do. Of course, secretly...I don't think the Iksar are happy unless they're miserable.</DIV>

They're just more accustomed to Adversity, so don't complain about it as much. The Iksar essentially Ruled Kunark for most of the past 500 years. The Vah SHir had a whole moon to themselves, an they still had to fight for survival. The Kerra were brutally oppressed by the Erudites until the Erudties did their magic fog thing.Hmm, The erudites magic fog incresed their contact with the mana flow around them, I wonder whatit would have done to the Kobolds in the Warrens...

So no the Kerra never lost a planet <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> And no the Vah Shir are no longer surviving as far as we know. <DIV>The Vah Shir was a clan of the Kerra not another race and where put there by the Erudites during the civil war between the Heraticss and the good Erudites that was what we old EQ1 players called the hole and so directly the Kerra really dont have much to be upset about but still i think its still a sizeable hurt to there Race</DIV>
