I saw somewhere, a while back, a formula for determining what your wisdom cap was. I did a search of the forums in several places, and though I see several discussions about it, I can't seem to find the actual way to determine what your wisdom cap is.Does anyone know the formula for determining your stat caps? <div></div>

<DIV>To the best of my knowledge its 7 X lvl + ( your base ) .</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Your base is what your race wis is. For instance, I have a human and thier base wis is 20, my lvl is 70; therefore my forumla is 7 x 70 + 20.. therefore my wis cap is 510.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

So for me, it would be 7 x 42 + Whatever the base is for highelf (I think 25?). So I can guess around 319??? Does that sound right to you? My wis is only in the 150-160 range and I have nothing but a BUNCH of wis gear. If that's right, I need a lot more upgrades.<div></div>

If you're a level 42 thats pretty much spot on:smileyhappy: <BR>I wouldn't worry too much about trying to reach cap until you get into your 60's or maybe high 50's. At T6 and T7 a lot more high buff gear becomes commonly available. When the game launched, I think that reaching cap was intended as something of a lofty ambition, rather than the reasonable expectation that it is now at level 70, and its still pretty hard in T5. Bear in mind as well that when you're grouped you may very well start hitting cap thanks to the buffs others are putting on you. <BR>You may want to have a crack at the Screaming Mace HQ. That mace comes with a very nice +14 to WIS and STR. Dont forget you can get buffs with potions, food and drink also. <BR>And if you think we have it tough, think of the classes that have 3 primary attributes, like the scouts with their AGI, STR, STA requirements.

<DIV>also you have to think as well gear wisdom isent everything like said you can take potions food and drink to cap youre wisdom as far as gear health, power and resist are also important as well as sta and int so i wouldent recomend whereing gear with like 30 wisdom 5 agi ft5 <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />!! </DIV> <DIV>also another thing to take into account is shamens dont have a wisdom buff so you are at a disadtantage for caping wisdom.</DIV>

<DIV>This is true... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Standing alone I can get my wis to about 502... just short of my cap -- but I am WAY over the cap once I'm in a raid or even in a group... Other classes have a buff that increases your wis ( ie. a FURY ). </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As it was stated before still try to keep all your other status up high.. in T7 there are lots of different peices of armor you can get reasonablly cheap ( Scaleborn chain for instance ) that give good stats. In T6 I wore cobalt because it had good wis on it then.. though that was long before the whole change. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>in T6 and T7 I was more worried about caping my wis, but there is a potion Elixer of Piety ( I belive is what it is called ) that will increase your wis. Any alchy can make this or you should be able to find some on the broker. </DIV>

T7 rare potion is +66 WISI generally use a +INT/WIS potion in a grp situation or if someone is the grp is a WIS buffer.<div></div>

I completely forgot about wisdom potions. I haven't had one of those, I should probably get one. I also haven't got my provi to the level where she can make the +wis drinks for tier 5, yet, so I guess that's something I need to do, pronto. I made 44 yesterday (cap ~333), and upgraded a bunch of stuff, then I blew all my cash on some ebon which I will be trading for armor over the next couple days, after that's done, I should have wis over 200 (~210), so with the +wis potion and the +wis drink, I should be sitting much better than I was. I solo almost exclusively, so I had been focussing more on mit/resists/int than wisdom, assuming that I was a lot closer to the cap, I guess that will have to change a little. Thanks all for the advice.<div></div>

I never hit WIS cap except with a grp WIS buffer. Capping WIS is not essential although desired.<div></div>

Right, I just realized that I could get a lot closer than I was without sacrificing Mit (though I will be sacrificing some INT/Str and possibly AGI) and gaining a little bit on resists. I am cheap, and was using some older stuff that needed to be upgraded anyway, but I hadn't because, well, I am cheap. I had been hoping that I could harvest some rares, but that wasn't going too well because of the lack of places I can harvest for tier 5 at my level. I bit the bullet and bought some rares and will be getting comissions for upgrades the next times I play. <div></div>
