PvP dog bug

<DIV><FONT color=#66ffff>any other shammy's on the pvp servers getting tired of being put into pvp combat by your dog every time you're attacked, despite the fact you have auto attack/defend TURNED OFF? basically you're forced to get rid of your pet (and all the AA's you got vested into the worthless piece of s*#t) just so you can HAVE a choice of whether or not you'd like to engange in a fight, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER CLASS HAS THE OPTION TO</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#66ffff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#66ffff>and this is on top of the bug that keeps us in combat long after the battle is over in pve combat. Here here here! Happens to me too all the time. That pet is a pain on a pvp server. It puts you into combat, it's running miles behind you (out of group invis of course)... it's not only NOT USEFUL, it's a big DISADANTAGE!

<P>Most irritating time this ever happened to me was in Nek Forest about about level 22. I had been bugged by the pet before but hated having to resummon, so I figured I would just park him underwater in the river (clear in the middle of the zone) in "<EM>stand there and do NOTHING</EM>" mode, while I made my way to the docks.</P> <P>Right at the entrance to the beach path, a level 29 fury dropped off the griffon and attacked me. She stood there nuking the hell out of me for several minutes while I calmly warded and healed myself, not locking combat, only losing a little power (the level difference meant I did actually have to spam my wards/heals to offset the damage, so I did lose some power). Obviously the plan was to let her waste her power (stupid fury) while I kept most of mine, then see if I couldn't kill her. She got down to about 25% power and suddenly my <STRONG>%^!#@! </STRONG>pet came charging in from <EM><U>literally</U></EM> halfway across the zone, attacked her and locked me into combat. Not surprisingly, my power couldn't keep up with those spam heals once combat locked and I died shortly thereafter. Obviously the pet was well out of any AE range, so he must have started running in my direction the moment I got attacked, regardless of the fact that he was set not to react to any combat.</P> <P>I don't travel with my pet up any more. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P><FONT size=1>(Or if I do, I kill him the instant I think I'm being ambushed, before he has a chance to hit anything!!)</FONT></P> <P> </P>

<DIV>/signed</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>cant tell you how many times it happens to me at higher lvls, and when a lvl 70 just hows you cause your pet is bugged it REALLY pisses you off.  not to mention please change the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] thing so when i tell it to not do anything, i dont have to continue to tell it that everytime i zone.  cause thats really one of the last thing on my mind when i zone, died who knows how many times beacause of that.</DIV>

This is a bug with every pet that can attack. So I only pull out the doggy when I'm in a group or when I wanna force a healer into combat.
