<DIV>Has anyone here experimented with the full AGI AA line for their Defiler combined with Reverent chainmail? It seems like it could be a viable way to play a solo Defiler - decent melee backed up by mediocre heals, decent wards, and excellent debuffs. I'm planning on experimented with my Defiler, following the LU24 'updates' to Necromancers (not a FotMancer - my Necro has been around since January 18th, 2005 - it's just hard to adapt at this point. I survived LU13 cause my Necro was only 42 and not capped level.), but he's only a L44 Defiler and not alot of AAs yet for the AGI line.</DIV>

I think I've seen someone mention going nearly full Agi line but with the Sta Buckler attack (appearently the initial root from Agi isn't as good as the description makes it out to be). I don't know if this will work, but it's the route I am planning on going with whatever left going to Int for the extra spell damage.I solo almost exclusively.<div></div>

Our guild defiler is fulll agi line I beleive. The more dps the better I guess. From what I can tell the shaman aa's have very little effect on your overall healing/debuff ability and keeping the dog alive wastes a lot of points and is still somewhat of a hassle. I guess I would reccomend the agi line for no other reason than full melee crits are fun <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

If you solo/small group the agi - 4 4 8 4 8 is really nice, it adds a decent amount of "free" dps. If i was to soloing kinda guy i would get that and on top get sta - 4 8 and possibly wis - 4 8 to get a stun/debuff and max my heal/cast time ratio so i got more time for damage. And 4k crit heals are sexy.

I have found INT-B is a very nice PBAE and really bumps up DPS when you add it with Aphotic/Defile/Maelstrom combo.<div></div>

I looked at that one, but the Staff, Pet, and Duration made it seem unworth it. It's a 16 second DoT that requires I de-equip my spear, equip a staff, cast it, re-equip, and hope the pet doesn't gank aggro from me in that time.Probably would work better in a group situation, or for those who use staffs for whatever reason already, but I don't think it helps enough, personally, with a solo/dps focussed defiler. The extra 24 int would probably add more damage per fight than the dot will, unless you are fighting swarms of stuff.(Caveat: I certainly haven't tested it, that's only my supposition based on the descriptions and how I know I play.)<div></div>

You could always do a INT 8/8/0/0/0 which would give you 48 INT and the PBAE.I solo all the time without a buckler and with a staff. You don't start picking up the AEs until you gain levels though but after 65 with Aphotic, INT-B, Maelstrom, Defile and with the Circle protecting you with a grp/solo ward on pull, you can mow down the nice multi-mob encounters.<div></div>
