<DIV>I'm closing in on getting avatar and thought I'd buy the adept ahead of time (which i did for a decent price. woohoo). I noticed that the haste component was missing though, which had me pretty disappointed since I've been excited for this buff since lvl 1 (throwback to eq1...i loved it). </DIV> <DIV>Looked on the forums, and saw a few posts related to the haste loss, but no real angry peeps. Just wondering if anyone misses it? Did it make a difference? Or maybe (a man can hope) its a bug and the haste will be back asap :smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyways, just a post to say im sad. Couldnt wait for to get this, and now it's just another buff. bleh.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

well, of course haste does make a difference, but honestly, i prefer a toggleable no concentration unlimited time buff without haste and better strength/stamina buff every time over a 15 minute duration buff with a bit of haste on it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> but maybe i am just lazy, hehe <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

Agree.  The Haste loss is disappointing, but its still a decent buff.

The haste it gave (may give again?) will never ever rival the effect that the haste gave in EQ1.  In EQ1, melee characters were defined by thier autoattack damage.  In EQ2, that is much less true, as combat arts make up at least 50% of a melee classes' damage. 30% Haste spell EQ1: 130% DPS EQ2: 115% DPS And thats assuming a 50/50 split and a generous haste amount.  Now with a 60/40 split and a 20% haste... EQ1: 120% DPS EQ2:  108% DPS We all love the nostalgic flavor of haste, but effect wise, it doesnt hurt us much to lose it in this game. <div></div>
