<DIV>Can anyone explain exactly how I get access to ports? Ive found several druid rings, and in a few harvested some little bush, but after that im just sort of lost. Is their someone im suppose to talk to? And if so where? Ive noticed at a few theirs a npc but he doesnt really do anything when I speak with him.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I read somewhere im suppose to do some quest in the vale of shattering before I can port, any truth to this?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>That is not true.  Once you have collected a leaf from the druid ring you must return to your home city and talk to a portal trainer that is in the priest section.  He will update you then if you speak to him again he will open a portal to gate you back to the druid ring where you collected the leaf.  Once back at the druid ring use the leaf inside of the ring and you will receive your spell in your knowledge book.</P> <P>If you have collected more than one leaf you can go thru the dialog multiple times to update all of the leaves you have at the same time.</P>

<DIV>First, you have to be a druid to open portals to the druid rings.</DIV> <DIV>Second, the druid picks the leaf from the 'blessed' bush inside a druid ring.</DIV> <DIV>Third, you have to go to a portal trainer and hail them.  Follow the dialog, and then hail them again.</DIV> <DIV>Fourth, (this is the way I did it, there are others) after the portal trainer opens the portal, use it to get back to the druid ring where you picked the leaf.</DIV> <DIV>Five, while at the druid ring, examine the leaf in your inventory.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>tada!  You can know open a portal to this ring from anywhere in norrath (I have't tried doing it underwater yet).  Anyone, including yourself, can use the portal once it is open, as long as they have harvested the 'blessed' bush within the desired druid ring.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There are 5 rings working at this time.  Antonica, Commonlands, Butcherblock, Steamfont and Greater Faydark.</DIV>

<P>The Qeynos portal trainer is located in North Qeynos in the temple - go immediately to the right when you first come off the steps.</P> <P> </P>

Sorry small correction to number 5 of someones guide.  When you get back to the ring after talking to the person in your respective city don't examine the leaf but actually 'use' it.  This will 'cast' as spell and viola you will now have the portal in your spell book.

<P>Also, good-aligned (Qeynos) druids don't have to return to Qeynos. You can use the portal trainer in Kelethin. She is at the western most acorn lift... Joleena's Restaurant Acorn Lift.</P>

<P>Just get a wizzie/warlock friend who has already done theirs to take you around to the Ant, CL and Gfay locations.  Once you have them, you can easily get the steamfont and butcherblock rings and port yourself back to your home city.  Less running.</P> <P>I would recommend guildies all get together to do just this, as they will all need to harvest the leaves from the bushes to use your druid ports, and it costs the wizzie/warlock just as much to send one person there, as it does for an entire group.</P><p>Message Edited by Handsoff on <span class=date_text>11-17-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:13 PM</span>

There is also a portal trainer in Kelethin with the druid trainers. She can also be used to get the ports.Quick advice:Do the GFay portal first. Then you can use it to get back to the trainer quickly. It's just up the nearby acorn lift and a couple of platforms away. Much easier than going back to Qeynos or Freeport each time.

25 to start also I do believe.  The harvest does not give you anything in your bags.  It gives you the quest accept pop-up and flags you to use someone elses port to that ring.
