<DIV>Hey guys I am getting tired of certain priest classes thinking our nukes are the end all of nuking. I have heard things as drastic as saying we can do more DPS then a warlock. I know for a fact that is not true becuase i have a warlcok. Its just getting old and was wondering if anyone can post some dps numbers comapring us to other classes (mainly other priest). This whole misconception that furrys are the pwnerers of nuking is just getting old and whish we could put it to rest.</DIV>

Probably the same people who used to laugh at us when noone wanted to group with us. I do know my warlock friend hits for 5k with his big DD, and i hit for 1.5k.   Tell the whinners to have a tissue.

Our AOE and DD nuke are what they are probably talking about and when compared to the other <u>healing classes</u>, we do a lot more damage per nuke, but what you have to take into consideration is the casting time and the recast time, bit of which are long for the prementioned spells. This long time does bring our DPS down and when compared to the Warden who deals less damage than we do, but does have a shorter cast and recast time, you will probably find that their DPS is not that far behind ours. As regards to out nuking a Warlock, that's rubbish. Tabitha 54 Fury Runnyeye

I was with a group consisting of all lvl 60's.....2 warlocks, a wizzard, a coercer, a bezerker, and me the fury.  The wizzy and warlocks were dps'ing between 600 to 1000.  I was dps'ing between 250-400, the coercer was getting 50-100 ><, and the zerker was pushing around 400-500.  These are general numbers, but are pretty close to the averages.  Due to killing so fast I wasn't really healing at all, just nuking.  Although I love the dps I have....its no where close to wizzards or warlocks.  <div></div>

<div></div><div></div>To [Removed for Content] your parse numbers, simply: - go to Living tombs - put on thornskin - find a group of green triple-downs - start parser - hit ring of fire - pull the group into the ring using starnova - hit porky - wait If you don't pass 600-700dps you're doing something wrong. Is this "far too high"?  Sure.  Is it a bias, unrealistic, unfair assesment of our dps potential?  Totally!  You can trick a parser to show anything.  If a warlock really really thinks a fury has higher dps, he's a crappy warlock or doesn't know his [Removed for Content] from his elbow. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Gaellen on <span class="date_text">11-29-2005</span> <span class="time_text">07:34 AM</span></p><p>Message Edited by Gaellen on <span class=date_text>11-29-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:35 AM</span>

The biggest nuke I can do is Starnova.  The highest I have even seen was 2.1k per mob.  This is extremely helpful when you do Poets Palace ( if you know what I mean)

With the right group setup I can easily hit 450+ INT (not that it matters after the cap) and with that much INT I've seen my nukes do over 3k in damage. I have Starnova and Bolt of Storms at Adept 3 level. Lubij, Ethereal Legacy 60 Fury, Shadowhaven <div></div>
