Just wondering if anyone has any helpful tips for Harclave as a warden. I have done it with my berserker and swashie but never as a priest. I am currently level 29 and plan to take a shot at it. However I have never really taken on multiple groups before as a warden. Any tactics you might have would be great.

In my 40's I did it quite a few times. Always have your DS and Numbing Spores line on. Nuking is a waste of time when you do more damage with your weapon. Heals can save your life still. Don't pull too many. Proc items are GREAT! Thats how it is in mid to high 40's anyways =D.

Keep up your duststorm and put a proc weapon/armour. Sanguine embued is great as it gives you some healing and a Screaming Mace is a "must have" Warden proc weapon. Even at 55, unless you have some fancy Fabled gear, the SM is the uber Warden weapon of choice. It procs to give you power on 5% of hits. I was listening to a 45 Wizard having real problems in there before I even ventured in and I was really suprised just how easy it is for a Warden. Saying that, I bet SoE make it harder. Equip procing armour and weapons Get spores , Instinct on yourself and put DS down Nuke pull a single group, or root and then pick on a guy at the end of the line. Start bashing the snot out of them with the odd chloroplast or SW heal, just to keep yourself in the green, although the power you get from the "ark" will usually outheal what you can do yourself.. Screaming Mace should help keep the power topped up as well You dont need to grp/single nuke, its going to make next to no difference in the end. Just make sure you dont get agro. Once you get past the Gnolls, not much roams. You should find it quiet easy

Prismatic Mace of the Scale is good too, and I don't think its fabled (I don't have one but I recall seeing it on someone).

Sadly none of this would be useful to the OP as he is only level 29...

Message Edited by TimidMouse on 11-09-2005 10:16 AM

prismatic is legendary and prolly the best wep any caster/hlr can get post-50 heh I haven't seen any fabled caster/hlr weps yet though so mebbe there's something to beat it but the regen boost be hard to beat imo

Well, first of all I did my Harclaves previous to the combat upgrades. That said, I think wardens are stronger solo after the upgrade...soo... Remember, you're a warden Heal Thyself! that's my main advice. Put your ds on, buff as per normal, for safety do one group at a time, and remember you can heal yourself Hit auto attack, and if your hp isnt dropping too fast start hitting dmg spells just for the fun of it. Really, Harclave seemed easy for the warden class, at least to me (not being in a raiding guild my gear is...average...no imbued armor etc and all adept 1 spells not adept3-master) At one point I ended up with 2 groups of yellows, and had to chain heal myself. Well that's easy enough, healing is what I do...hehe Also don't get sidetracked talking, thinking the harclave buff will save your hiney, then be startled to see you're dead...lol (yeah I did that once) Also even with the Harclave's buff on you CAN die to falling --- watch your step! (did that twice, I'm clumsy) SO I guess the bottom line is, Harclave isn't totally a cakewalk, you need to pay attention. Deep abysses will chew through the Harclave buff easily. And wardens are MADE to do this sort of thing ~Yira

Me'z shed sum light on dis... 'fore da big change, da harclave wuz easy as halfie pie... Now joo gunna have ta take joo time. Luuk 'fore joo jump in da middle o da frey. Make shure dat joo control da fight not da fight control joo. Dis 'specially important afta joo drop da 'shroom king. When joo go down to da room wit da dat have da chair, dere gunna be adds. Make shure joo cut n run if'n joo need. N' make shure dat joo clear all da rooms on da way down, dis way joo have sumwhar to run if'n joo need. We kin heal, but da Harclave buff do a better job den us, n if joo strugglin ta keep up, joo wont keep up. Da 'clave nar bad... wait me'z take dat back... da 'clave is maddening! All dat powah make joo want mo' powah, an hard ta git outta dere. If'n joo luuk at da walls, joo see whar ol' chingy was clawing and bangin me'z head in mad powah junkie rage. Cuud be da udder lack o halfies ta eat, n dem gnolls scrawny n furry... dey gunna do in a pinch, but fer da most part, dey nar taste guud... In conklusion, halfies startin ta taste bettah agin.
