Now I find I can hold my own with the cleric line (boo naysayers!), and yet... I still have to 'prove' myself to every pickup group I get into. On the flip, I will say that the clerics have it easy - they don't worry when the mob scores a critical hit because their heal procs anyways. I don't know... I love the challenge the HoT line of healing brings.</FONT></P> <P>And..the feeling is Mutual. Monks are probably my favorite to duo with. <DIV>Wrong server unfortuneatly, but much Monk Love here as well. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Speaking of anti Warden peeps, I had a group I was with a few weeks ago. (first time I've gotten in a pickup group in recent memory. Was a very good one tho)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Berserker Tank, A Ranger, a Wizard, a Dirge, Templar and Warden (me)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Where eating through stuff so fast it was scary, somehow the Templar even got agro once and I had to go pretty nuts to keep her up. (was wearing a Robe so didn't take hits very well, heh)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway, Templar left and they where all like, well guess we need to find a healer now. (/faint) I wanted to beat them senseless.. I guess they just assumed the Templar had been doing all the healing but I was healing at least as much or more then the Templar, (pretty sure I saw her casting more then a few nukes, was probably having fun and nothin wrong with that. lol)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I stuck up for myself and said, anything we've done so far tonight I could heal solo, if you want to fill out the missing slot thats a good idea but doesn't matter what class we get to fill it really. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>They trusted me and didn't have a problem.. can only hope they didn't just chalk it up to being a fluke or something.. bleh. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I"ve had that happen too - just makes me grit my teeth...I even said to a friend "I was solo healing that"...they said "well, the Templar must have been stifling or debuffing" I'm like "No, the Templar was not doing poo...*I* was debuffing AND healing...please note the power usage here" ..."well, Templars are more power efficient healers" well...they are power efficient when they are NOT DOING ANYTHING!!! /argh!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I even went so far in one group as to not do anything..and the MT almost died, in an encounter where I could easily have solo healed it...but was 'backup healer'. The Templar sent me a tell yelling at me for not healing. And THEN I was in a group where a Templar two levels lower than me was designated Main Healer...I was to be doing damage and 'backup healing'. So I did <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> And we wiped twice. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I could go on and on..LOL but I'll stop now. There are so many awesome Templars out there - but just like any class there are many more that don't have a clue.</DIV>

I know there have been times I needed another healer to help me out but there have been plenty of times I've solo healed epic mobs (x2) 3 levels above me (well... we DID have a lot of DPS). I think the difference between a group I can solo heal and a group I can't is whether or not the tank can hold aggro. </P> <P>I do admit that clerics have an advantage over me because of their reactive heal, they don't generate nearly the same amount of hate that I do with HoT's, and they're wearing heavy armour so if they do get a bit of heal aggro they can survive a few more hits.</P> <P>isn't it ironic that the healing class that generates the most amount of heal aggro wears the lightest armour?</P> <P> </P>

If I tank can keep agro off me there is almost no chance that they are going to die. </DIV>

<DIV>I have a lvl 24 Templar alt - rolled 'just to see'. Eventually I wll play her higher, but for now - I do think Templars have some great heals and duoing in Stormhold with no aggro is like a vacation. (can you imagine a vacation to sh? ew). The only time I get aggro is when the tank I duo with starts chatting and forgets to taunt - then he grabs it back and we go on. I can cast any heal or any buff at any time up to and including (practically) on the pull. Can you IMAGINE!!?? LOL</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What I have learned so far is: There's no decision tree. Heal ( I admit nicely, but wardens have heals 'as nice') or do some fairly laughable damage using up a lot of mana...so, in a group with DPS: heal, heal heal....::snore:: heal...oh Melee cause I'm wearing armor..heal...next! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So..yes, Templars ARE awesome healers. I think that the ones that we have seen have no sense of humor is because they are bored to death, compared to the fun WE have <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<P>Don't tell anyone I said this - but Templars are really , really dull. They're like Paladins - very serious, milk-monitor types who laugh awkwardly at jokes without ever actually finding them funny.</P> <P>Wardens are all 'earthy' and quirky. I want one for my very own. I love you.</P> <P>ps. My wife has no idea I'm using her account name. Let's keep it this way, ok?</P>

<DIV>You can post on my server forums for input if you like. My guild raids daily and has 3 wardens (1 or 2 in non-MT groups usually). I don't know if we are recruiting monks but I know we took on a bruiser recruit from another server recently. If you want more info send me a PM.</DIV>
<P>Thanks <EM>very</EM> much to those of you who sent offers of work for this disgruntled monk! Upon reflection (and some vigorous debate) however, I've decided to stick with my present guild - loyalty and all that - <U>but </U>if any 40+ wardens are dissatisfied with their lot and would like to join a now-EXTREMELY-Warden-friendly guild on Lucan, please send me a PM and we'll get the drinks in! You would be so welcome it's almost nauseating.</P> <P>:smileyvery-happy:</P>
