Hmm not sure actually, i mean pure heals vs damage id say guardian, but take into acount that paladins can backup heal and has a much easier time holding aggro its not as easy anymore but all in all id have to go with:1. Guardian2. Paladin3. BerserkerHavent had much to do with monks so i cant say anything about those but bruisers are pretty good too as long as they dont get hit. Fighting orange/yellowcon mobs id take guardian over bruiser any day.

I love healing my zerker mt... His reactives and mine (offensive and defensive) make a great combination... Ironically, I find zerkers among the easiest for me to kill on pvp for the same reasons...I found monks much harder to heal, but am learning to use debuffs more with them.

Beserker

Guardian

Pally/Shadowknight

Thus my experience with bruisers and monks has been that the reactives wear off without healing due to them avoiding the little hits that would be heals from a reactive normally. Thus I spend the whole fight mashing two heals and am afraid to take my eyes off of their healt bars. Each fight ending with less than 50% power. With plate tanks I can toss a reactive, and enjoy mysef by casting debuffs or other spells.

My understanding is that warding a berserker limits their DPS as they won't go into a berserk state very often, because they have to take damage to proc that. So, HoT's or reactives are better from a DPS point of view when dealing with a berserker.

I think that an inquisitor slapping reactives on a berserker and debuffs on the target would achieve a higher DPS as a team than say inquisitor/guardian. Although the guardian might be able to absorb more DPS as a tank, he would have to absorb it longer and that might not end up being as efficient for the healer.

So, in the end I think inquisitor/berserker is a pretty nice combo... especially against groups of MOBs.

Beserker / Bruiser / RangerIn that order...Healing a ranger MT is just fun as hell...I like a challenge though

I have compared notes with a 70 zerker and i'm a 70 guard, i have to say besides armor, a guard has nothing in the form to absorb more DPS than a zerker we get the exact same buffs that deal with mitigation, and besides the def stance that we both get about 400 mitigation, the other 2 mitigation buffs are about 30 seconds long, and i think every fighter def. stance gives about the same mitigation, only diffrence is what magic resistance the get, zerkers got cold guards got heat. Any plate wearing tank with i dentical armor, should have close if not the same mitigation, only Avoidance is making the diffrence now.

Hope ya enjoy the info, not trying to be negative giving the best facts i can

A tank who know how to play hes class..

My BF play bruiser and I got no problem keeping him alive, he got no problem tanking in HoF and hes realy good at keeping aggro.

We are not in a big guild or anything so our gear is not fabled or anything ubah, but he loves playing tank and do a dam good job at it.

Lately we have been grping quite some with a guardian, not cause we absolutly want a plate tank but cause if you become friends with somone you try play with them no matter what class What I realy like about having them both in grp is bruiser avoidence buff on a guardian is great, and helps the tank a great deal, did same with having a monk's avoidance buff on bruiser, sane deal, helps a lot

The worst tank Iw ever grped with was a paladin, he couldnt keep aggro for s.... but that might be tha player, not the class

So all in all, skill > all

SK, then zerker, then guardian.

I've had a lot of luck with well played SKs, and they are my favorite by far. my reactive and their reactive make a decent team, and if they are played correctly no one can peel agro off of them.

Zerkers and guardians are great too.

Paladins are alright, but I can't stand monks. I wish reactives had some sort of component that would help an avoidance tank.

Agree ToTally with roieli, i prefer a tank who can play over anything else. Noting worse then lame [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] tanks who pull ombs threw entire groups (hello AOe's) or AFK or pull without warning or are just so mindset they iignore warnings for power breaks etc etc.

I regulary grouped both berserker and guardian both 70 both with good gear and personally find healing the berserker easier.

Zekan

Zerker or Guardian, maybe Paladin (especially if we have a Warlock). I seldom let a brawler tank if we don't have a shammy in the group, and I never let an SK tank, because they can't even keep aggro off of me half of the time.

A well played sk will have no trouble keeping aggro as MT. The AA's which increase hate gain and attack speed only make it easier.

Cort Gilead, 70 Shadowknight
