Can anyone tell me if Templars get a lvl 20 "fun" spell? You know, like how conjurors get a firery shapeshift form and fury's get cat form etc ..

I've looked everywhere and haven't found it nor have I been able to dig up reference to it here on the forums. I did find one spell from a vendor in Eldar Grove I think it was. I am at work so I can't check and I can't remember the name of the spell, but it has something to do with respect. Is this it? If it is, what exactly is the spell supposed to do? The discription is rather vague when you examine the spell.

Doesnt seem to work if they are from freeport either.

Tried it yesterday on a pretty snotty dark elf brigand,.. said they were immune to the effect. I guess its only fun,.. if they are lower level AND from your same city. Weeeeeeeeee.

Interesting. I haven't tried it on anyone from Freeport. I'll have to use my "Detect Evil" spell to find someone. :smileyhappy:

Its a "fun" spell so what can I say? Please don't start the whole "Pallys got a horse" thing again though. These things are designed to be total fluff and have no utility. I finally went and took the time to buy my Summon Acolyte spell. Completely useless utility wise but I had a robed guy following me around so *shrug* it amused me for a few minutes.

I'm not going to argue which class has the better fun spell since they really are not that important but I have always hated that our Faith Respect only works on lower level players. I was grouping with some guildmates the other day and they were all turning me into frogs, or using their other fun spells on me and there was nothing I could do because they were all the same level or higher. We all had a lot of fun laughing at our little "Take that!" game but Templars are often left out of the "fun"

If I’m not mistaken ‘Faith Respect’ originally caused the target to kneel before the templar. If that is the case then I can understand that it was changed - maybe for real religious reasons? I still think it was gimped then neglected. Maybe we could get the clouds to part and have a beam of light shine on the target – something cool that isn’t so restricted. I think the fun spells are great opportunities for role-play and should receive some attention. Also, its hard not cry about the pally fun spell. It is clearly the best one in the game and shouldn’t be immune to some serious envy.
