Ok, weve been working on this on our Server Boards and Guild Forums... so.. here goes.. almost finished but feel free to add Healer’s Dictionary When you team up with Healers, you might hear them use some strange terms (such as [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]!?!) and this Healers Dictionary will help you translate them.add: This is short for 'additional monsters needed' and is used when the monster you are fighting is an easy kill and the Healer feels the team can handle more. When you hear this, run into a joining area and pull more monsters into the fight.EVAC!! Evac is one of those strange words which brings much confusion to most groups. To clarify this - it means in essence "Every Victor Always Camps. By now you should know that this in turn means. sit down and camp if you have Evac skills. Especially if you have rez gem you can always rez the rest of the group when you log back in again. They will be most greatful for your considerationINVIS PLS: Its Nearly Very Important - Silly Players Like Silence: if a healer asks you for this, then they are testing a macro skill and need to be put on ignore for a small period of time, during which time you can do /dance and /laugh emotes to give them some positive feedback that you have understood.afk: This common term stands for "Attack, Fight, Kill" and is the healer's way of telling you to go pull mobs.brb: An acronym, this is short for "Boss Room Battle," and is a healer's way of telling the team it's time to fight the dungeon or mission boss. Note that you will also sometimes see "afk brb," meaning the same thing.rez: When clerics say they are rez sick, it means they are sick of dying and ressurecting and they want to go straight to the area that killed them the first time and start fighting. (note that this is also referred to as "reclaim sick").tank: This is the person whose job it is to pull mobs to the cleric then die whilst cleric is reading the boardsWait: "wait" is a bit tricky. While it sounds like the word "wait," as in 'stop,' what the healer is really saying is a shortened version of "waste it all." meaning destroy everything in the area. Clerics will use this if they want you to start charging into the entire encounter.W_T.F!?!: This means "Way To Fight" and is used to complement you on your brilliant tactical choices. i.e. [expletive W_T.F!?!:you pull that for? Which is a compliment on you pulling skillsOOM / OOP: Out Of Monsters.. Literally means bring more pulls because the healer is bored and has way too much mana/Power. Pull Faster Doh!OOR: "Only Oager's Run" This is when the shameless cleric moves away from you on purpose. just for the soul reason of not being able to heal you. There is no excuss for this. Bad ClericAll Stand Please: STAND actually meaning Sit Tight And Not Damage. This is the raid leaders (Thorfs) way of getting the tank to ask in Guild Chat for a [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] (see above)Inc: means I need Coffee. This is used in particular circumstances when highly skilled and creative Tankers want you to go make and enjoy a nice coffee. Safe in the knowledge that all is well within your group. On Me: The healer is bored and wishes to tank.AF on Brolo (or insert name): I don't have safe fall and you do, but don't let that stop you jumping of a cliff. DUH Dont Upset Healers. They may just save you life someday.. potentially more important if the only healer in range is a gnome.DPS: Donut Please Someone. When someone says 'looking for DPS', rangers should not leggit across continents unless carrying a dozen assorted donuts.AFK: Auto Fire Key. Ranger has gone off to get more booze & left him/herself in ranged combat stance. Whoever they're assisting, be careful what you look at.OMG: Oh Mighty Gnome. Prayer for divine intervention. Often uttered after the Ranger's gone AFK on MT who's just tabbed onto something really nasty.OM_FG:: = Only Monks Fight Garbage: Healer wants tank to pull the 6000lbs spider in front of your group. He can handle it.%t is und'd = Healer has had to much wine and is spamming the raid with non-senseMed up = Must Eradicate Doing Unnescesary Pauses: Hurry the [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] up and pull W_T.F!!OMW = Ornanating My W&^%: Healer is a jerk-off and will be a while.Stay Close: while tank pulls all other members are to stay at maximum range of encounter to be able to agro more encounters to intencify the combat.Pull to this location: While the tank still have his reactive on, go pull an encounter but do not take agro. This way the encounter will automaticly run to the given location to attack the healer. This is usually followed by the command On MeDAMM LAG #1: Priest is watching Eastenders and forgot to heal Tank who is now dead.DAMM LAG #2: Priest was so busy nuking he forgot to heal and Tank is now dead.DAMM LAG #3: Priest was so busy in tells either (1) suxxoring up some kinky elf or (2) was ripping into some gnome via tells (3) telling a joke over /guild and the Tank is now dead. (is this one related to the infamous's Nosmok's Healing skills???) Mana Break: Mobs Are Not Attacking Break, indication to the tank to pull more, as theres nothing left to fight. Hold Pulls: Pull and hold agro, a reminder to the tank in case he forgets his job. and Not Forgeting MT: Main Tank.. The Healer of the Group Updated... Keep them coming..
Message Edited by NosmokIng on 10-03-2005 10:39 AM
