<DIV>You know, I have seen a lot of heat on these forums, and every day in the game, I get tells from other people asking me how I feel about combat changes and the survivability of the Templar. It makes me frustrated how people come here and whine and complain for most all of their posts. Templars really don't have it that bad. Forgive me for posting numbers, I know there have been a slew of them posted, but I need to re-iterate.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mitigation line is still nice, Valor @ Master 1 = +511 HP, +564 Mita.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Not only Mitigation vs. Physical, but we still have decent Mitigation vs. Divine, Magic, Mental. Symbol of Pinzarn @ Adept 3 = +206 HP, +606 Mental, +770 Divine and Magic.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Heals: If you have your reactives at adept 3, (which you should) we still have one of the highest healing outputs of the heal classes. (yes, yes, I know wardens get that seemingly uber heal in t6, but it only looks really nice on paper, once group member is back at full HP, essentially doesn't help a ton anymore). The t6 reactives are nice as well, just upgrades to previous spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A few things I am un-decided about:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sign of Infirmity? It's (in my opinion) a semi useful / semi fluff spell put in by SoE to try and give us the sense that we have some useful utility besides just healing and buffs. I hardly ever use it, in fact, I might just take it off my hot bar.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Soothe? It's pretty cool, I don't use it in a group situation, I use it while harvesting when I'm lazy, so I don't have to kill mobs by the nodes. Again, a semi useful / semi fluff spell, put in to try and make us feel more useful as utility.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To get to the point of the post:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We need to learn to adapt to changes, what is given to us. It's your own fault you picked the Templar class because you thought it would be the ubers and you could be the best defensive healer, etc. If you don't like the way it is panning out, go and re-start as another healer class. I have friends who have done this, more power to you, if you think you can be more useful in other areas. I made a templar for the sake of being a templar.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's really not all that bad.</DIV>

I made a templar for the sake of being a templar. <font color="#ffffff"> I made a templer because hey I played 5 years on EQ1 as a plate wearing cleric, thats what I signed up to do. I dont even have alts. I play a cleric and will always play a cleric. So you honestly think that the big avoidence issue is fair?  That traditional and up to the current 'combat' update - plate wearing classes now have got to wear druid armour because we get interupted like hell without it. Im not complaining about the spells Im complaining about we are the PLATE WEARING knights templers, yet we are overly penalized for wearing plate and how druids shammies etc get Sows slows etc but we just heals and HP.   My Avoidence is down to 15%. Since the combat changes and unless I wear the armour of another class even on a SP Harclave Id get slapped around like hell. Hello.. You can still move in plate... the balance is too far. For our lack of utility we should get more benefits of wearing the plate, not penalized. And if you think that is fair, you dont know what you are talking about. </font></font><div></div>
