<DIV>Does anyone know why our charm undead spell does not let us charm vampires?  Besides a ghost, skelly, or a zombie I can't think of anything that is more undead.  The Ghoulbane recognizes them as undead and will proc on them. I am unclear as to whether or not templars and pally's that have undead spells can cast on vampires either.  I was wondering if anyone had some thoughts on this. In mistmore castle when there is a group of nasty vampires it sure would be nice to be able to charm one and take it out of the equation till after the fight where I could safely break the charm and let the group kill it.  Plus pulling with charm is a very very effective way of pulling mobs out of a room full of tightly packed social mobs - granted that mob is a single heroic and not part of a larger encounter.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Estean 70th Necromancer - 70th Provsioner</DIV> <DIV>Gamble 70th Defiler</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Butcherblock</DIV>

It does let us charm vampires, in mmc and cattacoombs perfectly well, no idea why u are having a problem with it.<div></div>

<DIV>I think it's hard to charm vampires because, in folklore, they have always been charismatic, bordering on charming.  Perhaps they have some good immunity against simple undead charms.  Coercers may be able to charm them as pets though.</DIV>

Lol i think you missed the whole last post i left, YOU CAN CHARM VAMPIRES, fighting in mistmore cattacoombs is alot easier being able to clear away vampires by charming them and sending them in against other vampires. Same goes with castle.Having a good control undead helps, or if not, then send pet in, while pet is holding mob use loathsome mark, to debuff its wis, so u will less likely get resisted when casting charm.<div></div>

Also increase your subjugation skill beyond it's innate max by using gear...helps for charming those yellow and orange cons.Mob lvl * 5 should be the goal you set for subjugation skill at a minimum.<div></div>

Some mobs that look like vampires in and around mistmoore are actually non-undead elves or somesuch and thus immune to control undeath; I've charmed plenty of actual vampires in MMcatacombs and castle as well as other vampire areas, so they are generally charmable.<div></div>

I think Vampires should be the next evil race in the game, there is a ton of potential with them and they look so [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] cool<span>:smileywink:</span><div></div>

yeah i concur vampire should be the next evil race and as a race trait player should get : greater impale, root & stun immunity, and the casting time increasin AOE.Every vampire get that so it must be a race trait and not be linked to the class.

it all depends on the zone and how the mob have been flagged.  be sure to use your bug and feedback commands if you find mobs that arent responding to your spell.   they have had this bug before, like when Cyclops in PoF where being classified as orcs i think, or some kind of nonsense like that.<div></div>

This expansion is the most undead/necro friendly expansion ever released by SoE. I love it.
