Necro Master Upgrades

Now the fun begins. I was fortunate enough to LOOT Grin Heretic (master I) last week and let me just say, he rocks. Love it. Now, besides hoping for the Dread. and Shade pets, I'm trying to upgrade masters. In doing this, of course, I'm spending a fortune lol. So, I want to try and get my priorities straight. All of my spells will be adept III or master, because I'm going to be in a raiding guild shortly when I hit 70 finally, but I'm trying to be sensible as to which spells I upgrade to master when I see them for sale.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Here's what I have so far.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Death Rot - ad III</DIV> <DIV>Death Rot - ad III</DIV> <DIV>Heal - ad III</DIV> <DIV>(bats ad III also from before)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Heretic - m1</DIV> <DIV>HoTD - m1</DIV> <DIV>Mark - m1</DIV> <DIV>Horde - m1</DIV> <DIV>mana tap spell for pet (69) - m1</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have 6 acrylas to spend. I'm thinking 1 for the heart spell, and 1 for Awaken Grave. So that leaves me with 4 left.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Undead Tide m1 is on the broker. Is this spell in m1 much better than the spell when it's in ad III? Anyone know the difference in the spell?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The most frustrating thing with all of this, is people who think Dread in m1 is worth 4pp. That's ridiculous to me. It's a FEAR. We don't really use it much, at least I don't, except if I'm in a bind and I need ot save my [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]. Enchain m1 is worth 3pp? Nope. Don't think so. Constrict (the stun) is worth 10pp +?!?! Are you INSANE? Or am I? What is really worth the cash? What should just be ad III? Yea I can look at the comparisons, but I'd rather hear it from the experienced Necros out there. In that tier, I don't think 3-4p is too much to ask for any m1 spell.  It never ceases to amaze me when people think that this stuff should be EASY or CHEAP to attain.  Fear and Root are super important to a soloer, and I wouldn't think twice about picking them up for that price.  <div></div>

I'd buy it in an instant and if I didnt have the money, I'd be calling in any loan possible to get it at that price.The last time I checked for the chain M1, it was over 10pp on Permafrost - that's when it is available on the broker. For now, I've had to settle for the Adept III which cost 2pp.And yes, I do try to buy my upgrades in advance if they are on the broker (unless I get that rare drop).It's also not uncommon for the pet M1's to go for astronomical prices as they are our most important spell.As the other poster said, the fear and chain spells are awesome spells for someone who solo's so very important they are at the master level.Edit: Ah! <P>The important spells to me that you should try and get M1 if possible are:</P> <P>All 3 pets (for obvious reasons).</P> <P>Pet offensive and defensive stances (depending on playstyle and if you solo/group/raid etc.)</P> <P>Archlich (The damage proc increase is not that huge but M1 has a 2 per cent power regen over 1 per cent for AD III and below).</P> <P>All other spells are in the nice to have but will not overly [Removed for Content] you compared to having the AD 3 version.</P> <P>Warning buying most of the above will seriously dent your bank balance. We are necros, we farm named easily all day collecting 100's of plat (at least that how most of the other classes view us) so we have no right to complain if our masters cost a fortune.</P> <P>Sark.</P>

as a raiding necro your main role will be DPS so this is the order i would get spell upgrades considering the ones you already have and the fact you have 6 acrylia:- archlich- awaken grave- abate life- deathly coil- torrential plague- loathsome mark<div></div>
