Ok so the void beast its a completely and utterly new pet? How does it stand stat wise is it going to die horribly like the mage pet to AE's or has it got scout pet style stats?

atm it is a debuff type pet or planning to be from what i seen on beta .. BUT right now it does nothing  have bugged it and all but on the AA discription it says the pet will dehibilitate mobs .. .. take it as you see fit ..<p>Message Edited by soulraiser on <span class=date_text>11-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:59 PM</span>

This void beast pet better debuff the hell of the mobs or do extreeme dps or it will not be worth for me. I mean the rot/coil line+ lifeburn skill will plus the lifetab or the rezz/heart aa line combo will be more worth by far. I belive 90pct of the necros will resp aa later on to get rot line since it will make our dps go nuts and I bet the extra pet(s) from Undead tide aa and the void pet will be far far far far away to be near to be as huge dps as rot line aa wil be. Anyways I hope void pet is indead uber cool looking as it will be usefull ) Allowen Lords of the triple moon guild Mistmoore server

It's currently really dull and goofy looking. One of those pirtch black pets that doesn't have any kind of detail. <div></div>

<DIV>Its a shadow beast, its not supposed to have detail...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But currently its listed as a defieler char type, so I'd assume it'll be a healer/debuffer pet... which might be ok... maybe. Sure thing I'll be checking it out soon as it's available to test.</DIV>

That ability already exists... its the anchor icon.

Fumbles
11-09-2006, 06:17 AM
the anchor only parks the pet while not in combat, once you have them attack, they will run in.

Za
11-09-2006, 08:43 AM
I know, just stating what should be obvious to point out that the effect you want isn't for your pet to stand still... that already exists. You want the ability to have your pet stand in one spot and do damage, without having to worry about it. There's a difference.

They already added and removed the mage pet root with the KoS AA's because it was unbalanced.

It might be unballanced but it should also be the normal behavior of any mage pet...

At the cost of them reducing the damage output of the pet?A little work to keep it out of range is preferable.

quamdar
11-09-2006, 09:38 PM
the only thing i would want changed is to have it when you press the anchor the pet will stay there but then if you have it attack it goes and attacks but when the mob dies or you have it back off it will go back to that same spot.  hate when i am jousting the pet and the pet stops in front of me when i am already close to the mob instead of going behind me.would make it a lot easier to control your pet.<div></div>

Read the other posts...it's now an Ooze Crawler with a big AE debuff that will aggro everything around you and runs out of power very quickly.  I'm not impressed.  I was really looking forward to having a defiler pet.<div></div>

The pet went from being a potential healing pet to a pet of guaranteed death. I gave up using it simply becasue using it was an almost guaranteed way of getting unwanted and unescapable agro.
