Is there a link somewhere that shows what T7 armor we should be looking for? I noticed other class boards having them, but I did not see one for us. I am fairly new to the game, and just reached 63, and I have no idea of what armor I should be looking for. I currently have a mix of scaleborn and lvl 50 armor with the pet heal stick. Should I be looking for the level 62 player made, scaleborn cloth, or relic armor? Or what quests should I be doing that gives good equipment? And where should I be hunting to find the armor or do the quests? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Robes of choice : Skywatcher robe - Very un-necro blue colour but invaluable in groups and raids when you dont want to peel agro from fast casting due to its deagro proc. Got from the skywatcher contested heroic in TT at the top of the pond.Garb of souls - Its black and red and has nice stats so for looks its great.Xhaviz gown of glory - Fabled robe from the nest of the great egg in barren sky, seems to be very rare drop ive done the gg countless hundreds of times (ok slight exaggeration but it seems like it) and have yet to even see it drop. Nice stats and decent procs but common as muck.Red lexicon raiment - Nice stats, nice resists no-trade robe from HoF.Other armour - Scaleborn armour is very nice considering its free/cheap so its a very good place to start and id say personally good balanced armour for soloing or grouping as it has a range of stats. Pristine tranquil dragons breath stuff should make up the rest of your equipment if you can afford it as it has 23 int on all pieces and +400 to all resists apart from divine, handy to have a full set (minus robe) for raiding when you'll need resists unless you find some better drops. Thaumaturgists boots are another drop worth looking for and come from a mob need sothis in HoF.Class hat - The quested class hat has slightly higher int and more resists but the dropped one looks nicer and its resists are alot higher plus a power free dot to use.Jewellery and accessories - Narr Yora bracelets 24 sta/wis/int and i think about 80 health and power, player made moonstone bracelets are less stats slightly but since the narr yora can be found pretty easily id just go for these. Narr yora is in poa often referred to as ghosyt bird/dragon. Constables bracelet is 20 int/wis and has some high heat/cold resists so is a good standby for raiding and is dropped off mobs round the dragons in poa from what ive seen. Neck, well the mark of awakening is about the best youll find started in bonemire and has a fair few heroic parts then a raid but well worth it. Ears slot should be taken by your collection reward from orbs which has nice stats and a damage proc, there are 2 collections 1 for fighter ear item 1 for priest/mage ear item. Secondary items there is alot of choice for but orb of enmity dropped in poa is quite a nice item for your ranged slot with stats and resists, for secondary if you're not using a 2hander the shield of bylze from the claymore quest line is worth getting as it has good stats and resists and looks great.Relic - Dropped in vyemm, Lyceum and id imagine deathtoll and a quick quest afterwards to get it made in sols eye. Very nice stats well worth it if you raid but obviously rarish drop and will cost you DKP or whatever your guild/alliance uses.
Message Edited by Jalek on 05-09-2006 09:09 AM

any raiding mage who takes gear based on resists is utterly foolish. You should never be getting hit with anything that requires resists, and if you do...likely those rsists wont matter anyway. Take gear with procs, buffs, INT, and +disruption/sub/focus

Thanks. This is a good start. So basically I should not even worry about resists? If it comes at the expense of INT, or STA?

Speaking of procs, I have orb of the invoker, QH belt and wand rewarded by devourer quest. Is there anything else proc-ing on hostile spellcasting? Penumbra, nec 70 Storms.

There is also the mystical orb of the invoker. You should only raise your other stat once you have raise your INT cap compare to your level. Once you have max out, then you can start to raise your other stat. Everyone have their own preference. So you should start to build up a secondary set of armor for resist. There will always be that one raid situation where you will need to absord a AE and survive.
Message Edited by johnathanbtn on 05-09-2006 11:44 PM
