I have been away from the game for some time now and i was starting to think about playing again but leveling got pretty repetitive /time consuming last time i played (just after the release of DoF) is the new content fun? does the class bring anything new to the table past 50 ?

In my opinion, the game is a lot more fun and enjoyable post-50 than it is pre-50.

i agree with Xalmat, its alot more fun lvling this time around. so much more you can do as well, what with quests giving more xp and all that.

The class itself is certainly more powerful and fun. Along with improved pets and overall DPS, we get some new abilities and are now one of the strongest classes in EQ2, IMO.

The game...eh. DoF is fun for awhile, but for a full expansion is quite lacking in new content. XP does come easy though and if you like solo quests there are certainly plenty of those that are worthwhile.

If you were just disappointed with how conjurors played before DoF, I would heartily recommend you check things out though.

Message Edited by Blitzrain on 10-26-2005 08:17 AM

After me going to the Summit just a few weeks ago, you're going to have a very hard time convincing me of that!

...convincing you of what?

That a conjuror is a fun class to play?

That Sony will regress a powerful class?

That the Templar class is less than it once was?

By the way, thanks for The Summoner's Tower - as a new Conjuror, it has been a fantastic site for my first weeks.

i'll admit conj's are great, but templar's certainly aren't gimped. healing was nerfed across the board, but from my grind from 50 to 59 so far i have never had a problem with any templar i've grouped with, and they're usually the type of healer i do group with. healing might be harder sure, but then so is tanking now. most healers still do great they just have to work a bit more at it.

also, Templars were the best healer in the game and every other healer acted as purly back up. Not to long ago, they boosted every other healer class in the game to do the same amount of potential heals. My alt fury got a huge boost as now the heal over time spells tick for a hell of a lot more.

They're still quite nice.I did Scornfeather's Roost a few days ago with a templar and a scout; my pet did the tanking. We even killed Scorny, and i must say templars are a good class to group with.
