View Full Version : Igneous Apprentice No Longer Buffs? Why? Fix?

Normally, (before today's patch) as soon as I cast my Igneous Apprentice (Adept III) spell, I also get a buff called "Something of the Igneii" which as I understand it is a group buff cast by my pet. After downloading today's patch I cast my pet as usual but got no buff. I inquired as to the meaning of this from 5 or so Conjurors, all who had no idea. Is this a bug? Nerf? Something I'm doing wrong? Toggle? I just hope the "Pet Buff" was not removed since I thought it was a very cool feature for a pet class. My pet casts spells on me? How much cooler do you get? (Not much<span>:smileywink:</span>) Anyways, rather than removing this feature it could at least just be slightly nerfed; it wasn't even that big of a deal as far as I'm concerned, I'm just upset its not there anymore. Any info/advice would be appreciated, and thanks for reading. Its related to the same bug that made all of our pets non-arrow mobs.

48 Magi now has the buff when it didn't before.

My Tellurian Soldier has decided that he no longer likes to run up and hit mobs to pull them, he casts now. Nice change. <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span> <div></div>

All the pets were made same stats reguardless of the skill of the summoning spell IE app1-master1. What ultimately changed is that now pets are equal level to caster based on the skill level of the spell, app1 generaly is one level below and then app2 scales with you to a point, like for instance i tested it with app4 Tellurian recruit. It scaled to level 20, adept 1 sclaed it up to lvl21, and adept scaled it to lvl23, Master 1 I assume would scale it to 24, but then you have soldier and its a stronger pet anyhow. But thats the difference. Now as per level of pet and thier abilities, from my understanding they will all have base abilities, then will have new ones per thier level. IE, 24 Soldier would have base abilities but say a 28 soldier may have 1-2 more new attacks, but this isn't due to release till combat changes update is inplace. And this is probably why some pets lost abilities and others gained them cause you pet won't get it till it gains it from leveling after that update. But also why higher end pets come with it now, but in future will probably have new spells per new levels also. Just my over sight as I see it happening, and in honesty, this will rock when and if it comes to pass, cause even with a few pets loose buffs now, over all our pets gained a TON of power by going to no down arrows, cause its made them basicly fight like a level above what they was before. SO your lvl 22 Recruit isfighting now like a 22 instead of a 22 -1 or 22 one down arrow. Cause those down arrows = thier effective combat level ability. and one down arrow would mean its level 22 but fights like a 21, instead now its 22 and fights like a 22. If that makes any sense, cause i'm pretty tired hehe.... <div></div>
