Naming and Customizing pets?

Why oh why can we not name our pets?   I don't know who thought [Random Name][Conjurer Name]'s[Pet Type] was a good way to name it, but it's stupid. While we're at it, why not let us customize them a little?  Change their size maybe?  Hue? (Blue flaming igneous) or use our Petrified Eyes to make them a little more interesting. <span>:smileysad: </span>Anyone agree?

There are more important things to do before this in my opinion, also customizing the elementals is something i would never like to see, just  diversification of apparences by the quality and the level of the spell like earth ones have atm.

<P>I personally like the idea of being able to customize our pets. It would be really neat if it was like the character creation we did at level 0. Just a one-time creation for each pet (one for each level maybe also -- app, adept, master).</P> <P>A name would be nice, but I'm not sure how it would work. The idea is that we summon a being from another plane, not always the same one as the last time, so we would have to choose another name each time we summoned... or something.</P>

I agree, I wouldn't mind being able to personalize my pets' names.I'd call mine "Fluffy"

<P>Customizing doesn't seem like something SOE would ever impliment, and I'd rather have some balance issues fixed before anything. Naming pets (we can name house pets but not our regular ones o.0) would be pretty cool, or even just the random name like in EQ. Our Tellurian Veteran (Adept level) pets could all be called Bonzi Buddy or some such...
