<DIV>So what do you guys and gals think? The way i see it, our armor was paper thin as it was, now we may as well be naked. Before we could get lucky and parry an attack in order to get off that 4 second stun or root. Now you're gonna get beat down all the time. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Will this affect the earth pet, making him avoid less, making him take more damage in fights? Why can't an update actually improve us for a change? IRL if i came at you with 140 pounds of armor on and you hit me in the chest with a staff, odds are i would shirk it off and keep coming. However, if you were wearing nothing but cotton clothing and i was swinging a 20 pound claymore, odds are you could duck, dodge, or dive away before i could close in on you. That is balance, natural balance, this is not. In all of nature the heavier armored harder hitting things in the world move slower, but can take more damage and hit hard. However they cant in any way keep up with the speed of a lightly armored opponent. But the lighter opponent doesnt hit near as hard. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I just have a sinking feeling that we are gonna be reduced to less than paper thin, almost to the level of one hit kills. How in the world can we cast a four second stun or root on a target that will hit us 2-3 times during that time frame and leave us face down. I could live with it if i knew that my pet and spells combined could compete with other dps classes. But I guess we have to wait another few months to ever see how that turns out.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ellestil 47 Conjurer Najena</DIV>

<DIV>I thought the next update would help us in this aspect?</DIV>

<div></div><div> <div>They pushed those Conjurer/Priest balancing issues back to the next update to make more room for the combat changes.</div> <div> </div> </div><p>Message Edited by Sol the Wise on <span class=date_text>04-19-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:45 AM</span>

<DIV>with all these combat changes I think our stun cast time needs to be reduced to compensate - it's already too long, and lets face it - we can be dead in 4 seconds. We have no evac ability. Having a stun to temporarily get us out of trouble woudl help - but it needs a shorter cast time and a faster re-use to help us avoid getting into trouble.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

They are removing the parry skill, but they're boosting our avoidance to compensate.  We should be as well as or better off than we are now. <div></div>

LU#7 is a nerf patch. Each major patch the game gets harder.... Already the epic raid instances have been buffed enuff to make it so that only the highest of high end guilds have a "chance" of winning the fight. Why not make it even harder......! <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<P>Test server has already started to report that Heavy and Vangaurd are getting hit much more frequently and also stunned way more often than before. So in my mind, yes we will dodge more often, but will it be dodge...dodge....dead? Will we take more damage when we are hit? Are they making VLA even lower in mitigation to compensate for higher dodge rates? If so it still doesnt bode well for our survivability, and if Conj's DPS ( pets and spells ) arent addressed any time soon, we become even more of a liability to the group. </P> <P>Recent MG posts state that the combat system will NOT go live until Priest/Mage are also brought into balance. To me that's gonna be one huge update they are trying to do. Hard to hope they get it right on the first try. If it does, awesome. If not, we are in for a long wait before they come back to us again.</P> <P> </P> <P>Ellestil 47 Conjurer</P>

<DIV>The answer to every problem is not to just quit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I mean look at relationships, some people will leave a relationship (romantic type) for little problems that they learn about.  But then what happens when you meet someone new?  You find a bunch of little problems with them.  MMORPG's are just like a relationship.  No matter what you do, you will always find some flaws.  Just hope that the one you are tied to at the moment you can fall in love with =+)</DIV>
