It reacts to a spell cast on the person you buff. Combat abilities don't count.<div></div>

<div></div><div>crapy spell from the very beginning of the game.</div><div> </div><div>Has been really up in dof beta..</div><div> </div><div>and totally nerf just before gold dof.</div><div> </div><div>It's just a fun spell i cast since it cost no conc clot.. No conc slot.. no effects... no dps.. no proc...</div><div> </div><div>Try to cast it on yourself and tank a caster mob. Cannot even laugh about that since most of our spell are the same quality.</div><div> </div><div>and no up expected in LU20.. no up expected in kos, or with aa...nothing to do with cc or unbuffing epic targets</div><p>Message Edited by Evariste on <span class="date_text">02-09-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:05 AM</span></p>

<div>I see so many coercers post about how crappy their spells are, makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong. In last nights raid in Silent City Epic area, if I wasn't mezzing, I was 80% of the time in the top 10 for DPS. Between 300 to 400 DPS, easy. Synergetic Link is a great spell. Put it on the main tank, every time. Sure not all mobs are casters, but not all mobs <em>have</em> to be casters to use spells. Most creatures in-game don't follow the same creation guidelines that players do. You'll notice more often that mobs will have thier own buff icons in the target window. Just because the spell is for a specific class doesn't mean the creature is that class. Best Example, the statues of Lucan have a palladin buff. I guarantee he's no paladin.</div><div> </div><div>Against a pure caster class, this spell is very good. Down side being that the spell has to actually hit to return damage, i.e. resists don't proc it.</div><div> </div><div>Unlike our other buffs, we actually get credit for this spell. our DPS boost gives all the credit to the boosted target - that's a lot of our DPS right there...</div><div> </div><div>Bottom line, I think all of our spells are quite useful and well worth using to the fullest. Tweaking is still necessary here and there, but it's all in how you use them I guess.</div>

Not Synergetic Link. And as for being in the top 10 DPS 80% of the time, that would have to be when you weren't fighting epics on the raid. Most raids involve non epic mobs too, of course.</p><p>Synergetic Link is worth putting on the MT, yes. But it's far from the best thing in our spell list. It's damage just isn't high enough to make it very impressive. Fortunately, it doesn't take up a concentration slot. If it did, I'd never use it.</p>

<div>I know the link isn't the best spell. But so many think that if one spell isn't the greatest, then the rest must suck too.</div><div> </div><div>And yes, my DPS <em>was</em> on epics. And yes it's due mainly to my reactives. My point is that all of our spells factor into our DPS.</div><div> </div><div>Was just venting a little I guess.</div>

<div></div><p>Well, you're right about the reactives. If it wasn't for them, I'd <u>really</u> feel useless on raids.</p><p>My Magus is Master II and my Spell Lash is Master I and I use them every chance I get. They do add up to considerable damage, although it's still nothing compared to the damage being done by the real DPS classes, i.e. assassins, wizards, warlocks, bruisers, etc. I guess that's not a bad thing. If they were doing more damage, they'd probably be drawing agro and getting me killed.</p><p>And, like I said before, I do use Synergetic Link, too. On the one hand it's damage to the attacker is usually about 1/10th of the damage that triggered it but on the other hand it takes up no concentration or power to use.</p>
