<DIV>First, I wanted to ask if im really hurting myself by going human as a race. Being that im new, the rounded stats may help as I grow and learn. Then if all went well the first time, I can go back and build another 'extreme' race coercer. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oh, I also wanted to know if its possible to take a pet cross zone. I've not been able to, but judging from some conversations it seemed there was a way.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyhow, thx for the help. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Other than being ugly, being a human won't hurt you.  Especially from about level 30 onwards, all your stats should be pretty much on par with any other race.  You may want to look into the racial traits of each race, as those will impact your gameplay more than the base stats. No, charmed pets don't travel accross zones.  Can you picture an Exiled Kromtor Magi in Oakmyst Forest?  I can smell the soiled noob lioncloths now... Oh, and welcome to one of the most challenging and unique classes in the game.  Good choice! <div></div>

Race isn't much of a factor for us as other casters since most of our damage comes from charmed pets and your stats don't affect them.  With our power regen our power pool is a non-issue.Unfortunately we can't carry pets across zones (it would be a great idea though)<div></div>

<DIV>Please believe me when I tell you that I am saying this only for your own good.  Save yourself  a lot of heartache and just roll a necromancer.  Otherwise you are in for disappointment after disappointment. Sony has no vision for us nor do they ever even communicate with us. </DIV> <DIV>You are just setting yourself up for misery with a coercer.</DIV>

<div>Humans are versitile and Coercers are apitimy of Versitility as a class IMO.  Humans are really meant to play bout everything.</div><div>No need to reroll at all. the class you pick is only half the charecter really I mean you gotta look at your toon every time you play mind as well be a toon that suits your personality and fits the charecter you want to create...</div><div> </div><div>As far as stats... Int (power pool and Damage base for spells) , Wis, (resists), Agi (avoidance),...  yeah int is primary but you will be able to get gear to boost it bigtime in nother teir or so.  humans have better HP/sta than an elf or alien race so thats a benifit, you will get hit a lot.  Having your other stats rounded so well makes it an easy decision when deciding between gear ... int for a dps coercer, wis for resists on a named hunter or raider, and avoidance for a tanking/mezzing, or solo primary coercer.  I tend to pick wis for the specialize abilities (plus signs) to get my resists up rather than int, since my int is at a decent level.  I'm rarely out of mana so  my power pool doesnt matter and I prefer the resists/avoidance of damage on me rather than the small amount more i can nuke since im not a primary DD/Nuker.  everyone has their way to make their charecter, more personal... no need to have cookie cutter coercers =p.</div>

<div>It's impossible to actually eq1-style [Removed for Content] yourself, because the pitiful amount of stats your char starts with are massively dwarfed by your equipment.</div><div> </div><div>As a coercer, once you're in some decent legendary threads at t6 in a group you'll quite likely be over the int cap, and pushing it solo (I have 0 fabled items right now and I'm sitting at 399 self buffed.)</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>-Proboscus,</div><div>58 coercer,</div><div>Neriak</div>
