<DIV>Hi,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> I was wondering if anyone has any hints for charming caster mobs that only use instant damage spells (no DoTs)?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> When charm breaks, I will usually mez one mob and AE mez / root the other. On a multi-mob encounter, I will use the AE mez. I notice when fighting certain caster mobs that my pet gets hit with a DoT, which I think will wake him up if I try to charm him on charm break. I haven't run into the problem yet, but I've been thinking about it for if it does happen. My worst case scenario is that my pet casts DoT spells, and the mob he's attacking does the same. When charm breaks, I expect that neither mob will be controllable with mez.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> If there are just 2 mobs, I guess I could root one and stun the other, waiting for root to come back up. Then after they are both rooted, try to get control of the pet again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> So, back to my original question. Are there any clues in the name of the mob you are charming that will indicate that it uses DoTs? It seems like just about every class in the game has DoT spells, and I assume that is also the case for mobs. Does anyone have any experience that I could benefit from?</DIV>
