My alt (or: how i learned to stop worrying and love the nerf)

Well i have crossed to the dark side and i am becoming tanatus... i have pretty much shelved dystrax.  I may try to grind him to 60...but thats just a pride thing (i want the first level 60 coercer on butcherblock....luckily i don't have much competition.  if one of the 2 active coercers hits 57, i will probably grind dys to 60 for sh!ts and giggles). so, in an attempt to not be completely turned off by eq2, i started an alt...a bruiser.  (play the same class as a Dev ftw!!) so here she is: Vitri, level 21, ratonga bruiser. post your alternative to coercing! god i hope they fix us soon... <div></div>

I have a bruiser and defiler that I've had for months (both still in the teens/low 20s), but I recently started a scout that I intend to take down the Troubador path. I've always liked bards (in EQ1 and 2), and I have been getting a bit wearied of my coercer lately. She's still my main and I still play her most, but not as much as I had been. PigLick <div></div>

I started to play some City of Heroes again after i re-activated my account there. Never liked playing twinks or having alternative characters. And the progression and possibilities are quite funny to be a super hero again or at least see how a crowd controller based class can be useful.<div></div>

I have a money-twinked predator that I duo or small-group with another soon-to-be-former high level coercer, and a buddy's alt (halfling warden to be), and a halfling monk when he's online.  Watching 2 gnome rangers in training have the mob turn back and forth is pretty funny.   Smurf Attack! And we level up fast compared to what I remember grinding through wiht my coercer.  I have a 50+ guard, but he's really no fun anymore either - and but I bet pretty soon I'll get tired of this too.  The conetent just isnt there, and the epics for quests ahve become massively harder, as wellas the bigger aggro con spread makig zones dangerous as hell for trains. Still, if they dont fix things I'm probably going to cancel before my renewal comes up in December. <div></div>

Well I for one am not playing an alt to replace my coercer or try to "teach them a lesson," I just enjoy having several different characters to play depending on my mood, etc. It's just sad that lately I've been drawn to may alts more and more over my main. I chose coercer as my main because I enjoy that type of role/gameplay best, but considering how they've implemented it it's just lacking. PigLick <div></div>

<P></P>Now that my coercer hit 60, I'm trying to level up my warlock but on a more casual basis. He's only 51 so far, and I really don't feel like rushing to 60 with him. I'll get there in time, it's no real priority. More like timefiller when there's nothing going on in the guild (being euro on a US server blows)
