I know developers are reading these forams, I know that you are watching the posts here and laughing, laughing at the joke of a class we seem to be playing at your expence. I play my corcer to raid only, Im usefull, to a point on a raid, I was more usfull before you took away my mana regen, removed my haste, nerfed my charm, and broke my class but, hey your still being payed? right? as i posted (and this is partly a rant but i want to post soultuions to fixing that class that sttarted out balicned and well nm. Ok. soulution 1 - annoying vintage, (sp) -38 hate increse spell. make it a porc, and make it 10% per hit.Peroid. Minds eye- lower the tick count on it by 1 sec .8 or .6 sec to balcene out that part of our class charm- allow us to charm up to EPIC mobs. like we can with mez - install a 2 sec stun after the mez brakes so it dosnt brake the enouchter. haste spells- sorry the toggle thing is a joke, make them no longer stack and remove the toggle already, its anoying has hell to have to wait 15 sec just to recast a spell. Ok devouing stair - 350 power to cast (master 1) 12 power per tick with a some inntal it works out to about 200 power per 24 sec. -150 power lost 499 power for a 6 sec ae stun? what are you kidding me ? oh - and ravaged psyce DOSE NOT WORK. - oh its on the mob but its Not working as intended. thx Jorel 50 coercer

/cancel as I did. Stop paying them until they fix our class. Unfortunately I cancelled the day after my subscription renewed. Fortunately, I haven't played since, only have a few days left, and am enjoying the heck out of WoW. It's a great game and an excellent example of how to create a good game. Server stability is their only real flaw (and it's a big one...). Even their questing is far more imaginative and entertaining.

Still hoping SOE will fix coercers. After almost a month of not playing, very disappointed to find they haven't even recognized the issues. My coercer will never see level 39 at this rate.

I canceled my account after the 1st free month after release (Level 32). I have recently come back to playing (42) after trying WoW and I have to say WoW has NOTHING on EQ2. Absolutely no content, and Battlegrounds are going to be vaporware. WoW was fun when you started to play it, but no way it has the same feeling as EQ (grouping, combat, exploring). Maybe its just me, but after hitting 46 on the old WoW rogue, and comming back to EQ2 I could never go back to WoW.

That being said, EQ2 has major flaws. Coercer spells and functionality are a complete joke and I am far from happy. It is very easy to say that they have not put much time into spells and spell progression. This is the first game I have played that my spells do NOT get stronger as I level. Totally borked. Maybe I will have to cancel again until things get straightened out. MOGs are always worth playing a year after release, until the bugs, gameplay, and classes are fixed.

Message Edited by Azmodeus on 03-31-2005 10:54 AM

But I do hve a hard time with the argument above. I've found that WoW has *tons* more content than EQ2. At any given level, there are at least twice as many areas to hunt in WoW than in EQ2. Mob variety is somewhat lacking, however, but they make up for that through design that makes sense. Mobs only have appropriate abilities (no snakes that kick, parrying fish, casting bears, etc) in WoW and camp locations, design and level don't leave you wondering what the designers were smoking.

There are only about half as many quests in WoW but they're nearly all well thought out, often hilarious, much more interactive than any MMO I've played before, and vastly more entertaining. The rewards are usually quite good and can, if they're not useful to you, be sold for decent cash to an NPC.

I guess the big draw to WoW for me is twofold: It's immensely entertaining with it's humor and lack of grinding and, more importantly, I never feel like a [Removed for Content] in the game. My characters are all "powerful" and can hold their own as long as they don't get too aggressive and take unreasonable risks. I die a *lot* but that doesn't hurt my enjoyment of the game. The game lacks the rigid restrictions in EQ2 that make that game far too linear for my taste. If I wanted linear gameplay, I'd buy an FPS and play single-player mode or a console RPG. WoW was designed with the player in mind, EQ2 was designed with SOE staying in control of every aspect of the game world in mind (or so it would seem).

Lots of people have tried both games and settle on one or the other. Nothing wrong with that. But I do regret letting the opinions of posters on these boards pre-form my own opinion of WOW for so long that I wasted so much time in EQ2... I wish I had tried it sooner and saved myself a lot of grief and frustration in EQ2. All I'm saying is try it if you're curious about it... Don't preform your opinion based on what I say or what anyone else says about the game. Decide for yourself. The same goes for current WoW players (and I've posted that on the WoW boards).

Oh I almost forgot.... (In my opinion)

WoW is just too easy. It is very very easy to level with little or no grouping even needed. WoW is a soloers dream, and EVERYONE will just a little effort will be max level with the same gear and the SAME identical look. EQ2 in my opinion is for the more hard-core MOGers out there. Call me crazy, but I like it being somehow of a grind to reach max level. In the end it comes down to personal preference as always. I prefer putting in alot more effort in leveling my character as what I experienced in WoW... my levels were almost handed to me.

Lumpus,

U think SOE suck, EQ2 sucks, WoW is alot better for you..how come you hang round these forums.

surely u got better things to do than complain about a class in a game, that u dont even play?.....

We know alot of people share your views, we've all read them 100 of times.

They are different games, You think WoW is better, theres a shed load of people who think opposite, but why cant u just play the game u like and get on with it..

Would you play the Gran Turismo racing games, then log onto all other Racing game websites telling them how much the games sucks compared to Gran Turismo?
