View Full Version : Coercer & Enchanter Spells

<DIV>Hello I just wanted to make a list of the spells and how effective they are for our class. I have given each spell either poor , good , great rating and a short explanation of why. Here it goes from lvl 10 on :</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>10: Fascinate (Great) This spell is very handy and does not need an explanation. It does seem to have a prblem of not lasting the entire duration. About 10 seconds before the duration ends it seems to fade out. Also some stacking issues in later levels with other Mez spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>11: Ego Shock (good) I use this spell when soloing and it is handy but other then that it is rarely used.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>12: Signet of Intuition (great) Buffs are always good and this one has a nice long duration.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>13: Consume Ego (great) Use this all the time to get caught up on power after buffing , after fights , after stacking a few dots.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>13: Daunting Gaze (great) This stun is one of the best spells we have period. I use this to let healers get caught up on heals, Stun mobs attacking healers or other casters, interrupt spell casting , buy time to land mez ect. Does have a long recast delay though.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>13: Veil of the unseen (great) I use this spell all the time when traveling in new areas and when ever the group calls for a break and people are afk. </DIV> <DIV>Does have the issue when you try to refresh the spell its recast delay kicks in and I dont think this is working as intended.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>14: Gloom (great) Dot that lowers arcane resists I use this spell in almost every encounter. It does have a short duration and it would be really nice to increase the duration at a higher power cost.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>15: Cerebral Spasm (great) Dot that drains power and I also use this one almost every encounter. Again this one has a very short duration and I find you end up casting it quite a few times in a single encounter.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>16: Overwhelming Silence (poor) This is a horrible spell and I never use it. The times I have used it it does not even seem to be affecting the mobs power at all. It has Stifle effect so I am not 100 % sure if this is total junk or not.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>16: Blink (great) This spell has saved me on more then one occasion and is very usefull. It has a very long recast delay and that is the only thing really wrong with this spell. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>17: Mind Jolt (good) Decent direct damage spell but we are not your "typical" nuker and I think dots that debuff and hurt mobs is more our style. I do use then when I am forced to solo so its not too bad to have in our spell line up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>18: Breeze (great) This spell makes a huge difference in my opinion and I am sure in allot of other peoples opinion as well. Very short duration and hard to tell who has it and who does not. Maybe could make an icon apear in the group list to help us out or increase duration. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>18: Stupify (good) Decent spell for interupting casters or to give a tank that one chance to get a taunt off. Quick cast but very short duration, it would be nice to see this last long enough for us to get a mez off.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>19: Binding light (poor) Other then soloing I dont use this spell at all. It does not seem to snare the mob at all after root breaks and it breaks usually the first time damage is given.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>20: Lysira forced Jig and Mirth (poor) Fun first couple times but it ticks people off and it can only be used on people in your group and lower level then you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>20: Recklessness (great) what can I say ...group haste , a must have and always used. Duration again is very short.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>21: Power of suggestion (great) Love buffs and this is a decent one. Nice long duration.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>22: Mezmerize (great) New mez with longer duration. Again this spell has some stacking issues and also seems to expire before the duration has completed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is as far as I have gotten in levels so far and I will add to this list as I progress. As you can see though 3 out of the last 6 spells are poor in my opinion and I think there is more in the next few levels IE : AOE DD ?? (can you say break mez?) , AOE mez that is not working properly from what I have read. Guess I will have to just see for myself.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rakkasa 22 Coercer (Ratonga)</DIV>

You are underestimating overwhelming silence. For example, stifle keeps lvl 20+ mobs from barraging and that's a very good thing. Also, the endurance drain is considerable when the spell is upgraded.
