<DIV>Well its come to that time where I need to identify which spells need to be upgraded to adept3 from app3 or adept1 now some spells its easy to identify what effect improved level of knowledge does, DD's do more damage as an obvious example.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However what I would like to know is from people who have Adept3 buffs what effect does the higher ranking give?  Extended duration, more efficient (Breeze give more power regen as an example), reduced recast time stuff like that.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Obviously Mesmerise and Fascinate are important, I use DG and OS a lot as well am 27th currently and looking at Melancholy as a tash, dot and slow in one spell it might be a contender.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Have saved up some gold and this weekend foraged my first mining rare a palladium cluster and do not want to make an almighty blunder in spending said gold or wasting the palladium considering how rare they seem to be.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any input gratefully received.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Combat spells DoT/Nuke simply increase power by 25% per rank (to the base lvl). I got palladium as well and thinking about upgrading Despotic Mind to adept 3 (its our primary nuke up to lvl 42 then we get Tyranical Mind). At first I was partial between Simple Minds and Despotic Mind but once I got Discomforting Gaze ... its now between Despotic and Muddled Thinking (going from app 2 to adp 3 should double damage)</DIV> <DIV>Mesmerize at adept 1 rather common plus we getting upgrade at lvl 38. Adept 1 relaibly hit targets that +5-6 lvls above you (I can mez very easy at lvl 33 everything that lvl 39 and below). +7-9 grey area - resistance very high but still possible. But imo its not worth to go from Adept 1 to Adept 3 - you might gain 6s extra on duration here and slightly improve resistance vs. mob that still within cap (I believe that mesmerize capped at lvl 42 may be 43 mobs)</DIV> <DIV>Breeze btw do not increase power within rank - Adept 1 and Adept 3 both capped at 18 power/tic - moving to the master might get some yeild thou</DIV>
