its depending on your level how much power per INT you get. I got myself a dagger in Everfrost with +14Int and 49power at all i get 112 power from that dagger

your current level / 10 = int per power so a level 40 warlock gets 4 power per int, a level 33 gets 3.3

So, the D'Morte gear is good equipment then? It all has quite high INT on it, but the overal/other magic stats are very crappy compared to some other items. I never knew what to buy really, high INT and crappy other stats? or less INT and better other stats? Should I make a distinction between groupplay and solo when choosing gear?

really, the only thing i base my equipment on is total power. as far as anyone can tell, int only affects how much power you get. for example, right now i have equipped a weapon called Undertow Wand, and the only stat on it is +61 power. also, i have T4 gloves called Wasp Wing Gloves that have 11 int and 18 power, netting me around 65 power at level 44. from inspecting other warlocks, it seems that i am pretty well-equipt. i have self-buffed 2965 power (with my hex doll and poison wand being made, i will be well over 3k) and 192 INT. a level 48 warlock i inspected last night had just over 2k power... that's a HUGE difference and i suggest figuring out the net power of each item before choosing one.

> Ps- I also have a hex doll...the +int bonuses are awesome! I agree. Previously, I wore anything with extra +POW and +INT, just as most others that have posted here. The +24 INT two of these linen hex dolls provide allows us to use other equipment that balance our resists and attributes. With the hex doll I can maintain 3k+ POW and 200+ INT (at level 47) without sacrificing other stats. Warlocks have good power management given our INT, power pool, and power regen buffs. We can afford to balance our characters while the other nukers (*ducks*) may feel more reliant on +INT/POW items.

your current level / 10 = int per power Well I can say this is false. Equiped a +12 int hex doll the other day, it netted me 40 power. Now, that took me from 194 int to 206 int, so what is possible is that under 200 works like you said but over 200 returns less. Still, that would mean that over 200, 1 point of int gives 1.67 power which seems odd. Anyway, 206 int/3145 power here, self buffed.

I like keeping that AGI up as well. Keeping the avoidance high might mean you live a bit longer by dodging one or two more swings.

Anyway, 206 int/3145 power here, self buffed. what level are you? the int to power equation only works on items that you have "mastered", these will be white items or lower. for example, SBD (which is like 33 power?) was giving me 3 less power than Arctic Dirk (which is 5 int + 28 power or so); however, the gap widened each time i levelled up, because Arctic Dirk was an orange item when SBD was white. for most items, this equation has been very close to perfect for me.

And when you level, you need more Int to maintain the same power and damage you had before you leveled.

The devs have acknowledged that this is the way it works, and that it's not a good mechanic (basically, between this and spell damage not increasing with level it punishes you for leveling).

This doesn't really change how to look at increasing (still should be about level/10 per int), but it will affect things if you are going over your cap, or leveling without increasing your Int (since it goes down again).

Also note that while Int may give Level/10 each, if you have any traits, items/buffs, or AA's that increase your max power, they are applied as you increase. So at level 40, you might get 4 per Int... but if you also have 10% extra power from traits, etc, you will actually be getting 4.4 per Int.

I personally am not positive on the numbers, I'm just using the examples given in this thread.

Okay guys, everything said in this thread is just about completely wrong. Everything is based on the pre-Lu13 system when there was a soft-cap at 200 INT, and then you'd gain less and less power for each point of INT.
