![]() Ok just wondering if anyone knows of any items that add to our blocking skill. I know of the new adornments but was having look thru broker yesterday and cant find any that add to blocking. There seems to be plenty that add to parry/defence/deflection to help our avoidence but havnt seen anything to help with blocking. If anyone has some items, could you please post them and tell us where you got them from. With end hero line being a increase to blocking anything that would help push us bit more with blocking would be great help since we dont have mitigation of Gaurd/Berserker/ or even SK temp buffs anymore.

![]() It's all in your shield (and the end Hero ability). There is no such thing as a "blocking" skill. The quality of the shield you have equipped is what determines its block chance. Block is unique in that it is the only un-contested roll in the avoidance chain. It reflects a true percentage and is not affected by the skills or quality (solo/heroic/epic) of the mob that's attacking you. Block chance is only modified by mob level.

![]() Thanks was wondering about that all other skills had modifiers on items. So best thing to do is get a 1300+ sheild and block from AA and the 3 adornments to max it out?

Although, and this is sad....Silver Bracelet of Rage with a 1% block adornment and using QG is comparable to Dragonscale Bracelet with it's 30 all atts and +7 defense, even with defense close to 455. So that wouldn't be a bad alternative, wearing that and adorning another bracelet and neck/wrist item for 2% block. Ultimately 3% block and the extra health from a fabled bracelet would prolly be better, but marginally.

![]() What are those 2% Block adornment you speak of? I saw the block adornment for wrist and it's 1% is 1% really better than getting the 67 vs s/c/p?

![]() lairdragna is correct and these +1% blocking adornments are awesome... any adornments that add +parry and +blocking are a tanks best friend..... i added a [glimmering glancing splint] +4parry on my forearms, and a +2parry [glancing tsuba] on my velium rapier.. the +4 parry splint added 100 avoidance and 4% onto parry alone, both pieces added 6% to parry, thats a huge difference.... thats why i'm saying when a paladin gets the final paladin aa of the 20%blocking that is huge the way the combat system is setup now... i'm at 47.3%avoidance on my zerker ungrouped was at 45% and i have some crappy gear on too, still 3 xegonite pieces boots forearms and shoulders..I played around with the adornments to add to mitigation, put +37mit on my buckler and 2 on jewelry/wrist items and got my mit too 4109 in defensive..this was before the +parry adornments i put on my forearms and 1hand piercing, i was worried it wouldnt make enough of a difference to matter, and that i wasted alot of money on these items, but when the numbers went up like they did, and a healer told me they helped alot, i'll listen to the healer... |

![]() Has anyone noticed that the Scintillanting Glancing Splint say the effect is called Lambent Glancing something and it gives the +7 parry, is the effect correct or it's a bug, since if it gives the T6 effect wouldnt the T6 splint give the same parry amount? In theory you could use 3 wrist block adornemt, you can put it on the items that are wrist/neck like the forsworn wrist or drakescale gorget, and have like silver rage wristband and that way you will have 3% block, im still thinking if the 1% block on the shield is better than the 67 vs s/c/p since we can go all avo and leave the mit. |
