im a lvl 32 paladin and it's a [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] trying to get groups. i think the main problem is that people have it in their heads paladins arent good at anything when this isnt true. we can contribute pretty decently to DPS if we arent tanking (thank you oath strike) as well as doing some group buffs and spot healing. and if we ARE the tank, we can keep agro really really well. anyone else out there have probs getting in groups or have any ideas for getting groups easier? ive had to get my last 2 levels in the adventure pack instance zone pairing with a guildee because i just cant get groups.

never had an issue personally.

If you cant get a group make a group. Get a healer and then people will join.

Its the idiots with the sig that says...you can tell a good tank from a bad one by the horse, avoid all that are horsed since they are paladins.

That was not it exactly but that is a short summary.

One reason you might be finding it hard to get a group is the large number of (especially plate) tanks quick peek at http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=201&message.id=9389 shows pallies right behind guardians as the most popular class (on befallen at least). As most groups only want a single tank it means that a large number are most lightly going to be left out in the LFG cold. As for bad rumors about pally tanking... "A paladin walks into a bar..." .....loading please wait SMILEY

I am a L37 Paladin, and when I turn on the LFG tag (Mistmoore Server) I normally get invites in 5-10 mins. As a Paladin I understand that Guardians tank better then us, so once you realize that you start to develop strategies when you MT: -- Pulling -- Special Order -- Pulling off aggro -- etc Once you get into a grove and start grouping with enough people the invites will roll in. Thats the biggest thing you can do I believe personally...don't try to tell people you can tank as good as a Guardian...show them... Just my 2 cents

I have 0 trouble finding a group as a level 30.8 paladin.  In the past week alone I noticed that when I  put LFG on I immediately would get 3-4 tells within 10min.  After playing a wiz for years in EQ1 I am happy with my paladin.  I can always find groups!

Don't give up hope, when you do get in a group don't be a jerk, know your role, be friendly and make an impression.....reputation carries a long way and might land you another group in the future.

I agree 100% with MeridianR. I have no problem givving up tanking if a guardian or other tank wants it. I've noticed a few support abilities I have (Like offerering of Armement) that make me really good as a backup tank/semi-dps.

You'll occationally have some dumb [Removed for Content] who can't see beyond his own hand, wanting a guardian because their slight advantage in HP and AC. But the smarter people will generally take a paladin over anything else simply because we are second to done in aggro management. SG

/shrug Are you serious? Guardians control aggro much better then we do IMHO if the two are on equal footing.

I played a wizard in EQ1.  You don't know what LFG is!

Really, I will get invites within 10 minutes if I LFG during primetime at level 38.  It's great, so far it's been very easy.

If I didn't get an invite then I would just head to Runnyeye, or Ruins of Varsoon in your case and ooc for a group.
