Ok now first off I want to be a group orientated character, however seeing as groups aren't always forthcoming I do want some solo capability.

I see there is some question as to int or str etc.. exactly how much of our DPS comes from Int based attacks, and does int also effect if those are resisted or is it just the level of the skill?

For solo and grouping when are the best times to go 1h w/ shield or 2h, I have no clue at all...

For armor, what type of stats does it normaly give.. should I choose a certain type/crafted.. go for specific stat jewlery to compensate for armor stats etc..

Finaly AA's .. I wouldn'y know where to begin on that, as I gain points what would I benifit the most from putting them into first, as I said with a group mentality in mind but a little solo on the side

1) stickies ftw... str/int compairison right there, please look at resources so your questions are just noobish not annoyingish SMILEY2) for pve i suggest board and sword unless you are not MT, defensive stance is best til T7 when your armor makes up for the resists/avoidance/mit3) I go for int armor and then suppliment str as needed with jewelry4) go int line 4 4 8 for starters in crusader... go reaver in SK tree trying to get blessings maxed first.hope this helps.

How about combat arts vs just hitting the target

I noticed at lvl 11 (yes I know really to low but still interested) that I hit for more then any of my combat arts hit for, mind you they are not upgraded.

When is the right time to use an art, that isn't a needed taunt, over just standing there swinging?

Just space the CAs out a bit and have them hit between your autoattacks. Same goes for spells.

I am a group / solo Shadow Knight with soloing 80% of the time. Lets just say that 4-4-8 INT in the Crusader line is the best way to go with your first set of AA's for spell crit chance (up to 65%). I personally then put 5 points into the unholy sword in Shadow Knight tree, now I am switching back to Crusader tree to get 2 more points into hammer ground and then 8 points into Melee crit chance, for grouping and solo play togeather. Then I will go back and max out the reaver line for AA's in the shadow knight tree for the heals.

As for DPS from INT, I would like to say 80% of our DPS comes from INT based attacks (now I could be wrong, most of the time I am) because if you go out of power in a fight it will take you 3 times the amount of time to kill a mob, because our Melee DPS sucks IMHO. I think the resist rate depends strictly on how high your skill level is in that spell type ability, plus if the spell has been upgraded to AD1 or M1. You will notice better results with rthe upgrades (besides the damage output).

When should you use 1h / shield and 2 handed? I use two handed most of the time for solo (and yes this is to include heroics, unless they are ^^^) I think its a matter of preference is all untill you get into a group or small raid as MT.  Most groups dont want to see their MT swinging a 2 handed at least from what i have seen. So I switch to 1h / shield to help lower the amount of damage I absorb while taunting / aoe'ing 5 mobs at one time. It helps the healer out a bit. I do recommend you get a crushing weapon and work that skill as well (for hammer ground, if you go that AA route, its awsome knocking down 6 mobs and stunning them at once).

Armor, I would say in the lower levels just go with what you find / can afford. If you find yoruself with huge chunks of cash then go with the Master crafted / Ledgendary. Other than that from what I have read, until T5 and T6 it dont matter anyways because we out level the stuff anyways to fast. As for stats I tried a mix between mitigation / INT / STR / STAM. That is just what I looked for in armor ( and goodness sakes I am not the best SK so this is not fact!).

Hopes this helps a bit, like I said this is just what I have done and I solo / MT like a champ with no complaints at all. i have just now laid down the sword and went full time with a crushing weapon so I dont have to swap out weapons just to use Hammer ground, I cant tell any differance in DPS myself but it is a choice you will make eventually.

Take care
