Heya everyone!I got this strange feeling today that i want to start a SK. I already know the race what i want to be, but one thing is bothering me. It is about the AA's, i do not have Kingdom of Skies expansion, so i can't go the "normal AA's" I need to go for those that came with EoF. What AA line should i start taking, if i want to tank good, and solo a little also? Thanks in advance, Smirnoff.

in my oppinion the core of our aa is in the KoS aa tree, primarily spell crits. unfortunately since you do not have this i would very much consider the reaver line of abilities while focusing on mana regen as you choose your traits at level 22 for example you can choose 5 in combat mana regen. SK are reliant on mana moreso than most other melee classes. reaver will give you extra healing that will help both in groups and solo. it also adds a little aggro from the heals. i would then go down the left side of the tree which improves taunts these 2 lines seem to me the solid choice from EoF.

good luck on your SK and take some time to read these forums. SK is a complex class and there is alot of good information here.

Thanks Hackenslash, that helps alot. But if anyone else has other recommendations, i'd like to see them. To make things easier, i'd like a picture of SK's EOF AA tree, and have the recommended AA's circled with red or something. But simple instructions can do also SMILEYThanks

Hello, I'd just like to share my experiences as a SK with you incase you would find them helpful.Since Tier 1 I've been using a 2H weapon 95% of the time (current level 41). And always in Offensive stance. The remaining 5% I had to turn to def stance and 1h+shield vs some nasty named. I locked level at 10 and started doing quests for XP and AA (habit from pvp stuck), straight down INT line for that 68% spell crit, 4-4-8. After INT I started doing STA. Unlocked after level 22 and started playing normal again. In my opinion I leveled too quickly through T2 and T3 so that I didnt get to do quests before they turned grey...For tanking I also use 2H+Offensive, never had any problems... tho I've mostly just tanked FG, WC, SH, RoV, and a couple of tiny raid instances. No problems holding aggro, credit to the ones Ive been grouping with too of course. Lifetaps often puts the healer out of a job sometimes too SMILEY I immediately started leveling up my tradeskill as an armorer so I could provide myself with rare armor every new tier, I even locked level until I could get enough rares to make it. I also sold alot of mastercrafted armor/weapons to earn gold to buy what I couldnt make. Of course this makes the job alot easier...but then again tanks should always have decent gear shouldn't they? :smileyindifferent:I'm still learning about my class and have a long way to go :oSome info about the AA incase you haven't spotted this resource yet.Regards, Maorak Grimstriker.(If you happen to be on my server I'll provide you with free non-mastercrafted armor!)

first I would really recomend buying KoS, not like you can't play Sk without it, but you are going to miss a lot of DPS/survivality if you don't own this expansion.

this being said, if I didn't own KoS, I would probably concentrate on reaving line with blessing, drain vitae and grim coil enhacement as the priority followed up by reaver ability, than some more reaving or despoil abilities if you are mostly solo SK or hate transfer if you mainly group

don't forget to get M2 infernal blessing at 14

Hmmm .. KoS was included in EoF .. so how can you have EoF withou KoS ?

However .. like others said i would first go reaver ... but you miss a lot without the KoS lines :smileysad:

I believe it was only in the retail version - if you got the digital download, you just got EoF.

Well I advised to go Int line from EoF AAs first then go down reaver?  Could you possibly extrapolate on why going to reaver first would be better than the int line from EoF.

Thank you

The int line is in KoS, and REaver in EoF.the reason being, int gives you both increased heals and dps.
