Ok,

I see old threads saying that the Heal Crits don't affect us.  Has anyone recently confirmed that is still how things work?

Thank you.

Heal crits do not affected lifetaps. Those are affected by hostile spell crits.Reactive heals, from spells and procs, should be affected by our heal crit ability.

Anybody else think reaver should work like a lifetap instead of a regular heal like it is now?

Does that mean the infernal blessing line is affected by heal crits? as far as I can tell, it's not a life tap as such.... or is it? this confuses me. And what about Unholy weapon? is that a life tap or does it benefit from heal crits?

Ok i've done alot of testing on this heal crit. If your Parsein with ACT it will show the the spell crits in both the healing parse and non melee parse. Because a part of the spell crit'd. With no points in heal crit, my avg  for example was 150 if the heal(life tap) was 100-200 min-max. Even though it said the had spell crit'd. The dmg part showed an avg of 185ish if the dmg was 100-200. After 8 points into heal crit  the heal avg jumped from 150 to 185 ish also. I donnot think ACT knows what part of the spell crits  it just shows that the Name of the spell crited. I have 8888 INT and weave a Sheild. The rest of my AA points I dumped into Reaver line and this usually makes the Healer have to go DPS mode. I also have 250 STR with 400plus INT and i'm almost always top parse in normal groups unless those pesky Assassian get me.

70 Brusier-

70 Assasin-

65 Guardian-

59 Shadowknight-

More than a few of us analyzed this when the DOF AAs came out.Every ability we have that heals us is a lifetap. This means that heal crits do not affect the chance of critically healing. Hostile spell crits do affect this. You will either crit with both the damage and healing portion of a lifetap or neither. Heal crits are not really worth the points for Shadowknights. The only thing that it affects are reactive heals placed on us, proc based heal spells from other classes and equipment and our Reaver line. The Reaver ability as it stands just heals us, so its very hard to justify using hostile spell crits for it. Besides, we are already extremely lucky to get such an amazing benefit by spending only 8 AA points. Lets not push it.

I donnot remeber DoF AA's  but KoS AA's i do..lol....  I donno....  parsed the heck out of this  with 448 and then 4488....Used a free repect and everything same results everytime....  everything that healed had a clear higher average as if it crit'd with the same low heals but a slightly higher max heal with a higher avg heal.....  plane as day...  i stickin with my 8 points in heal crit.....    It has served me well.....   if its been a while since anyone has tested it again  Mabe they fixed it.... considering you tested it when AA's first arrived.....

Is it possibly they "fixed" it sometime so now the heal crits mean something and the old KoS analysis is wrong?

Sure, its possible, but the gains you'd bet out of it is not too great imho... but, try it out, if its working and to yer liking, by all means its your toon and supposed to be enjoyed when played by you. SMILEY

I still think the 10% faster casting from str might mean more in the way of extra heals, especially mixed with reaver line. But i suppose its possible to 44448 str and 4488 int. Although im still wondering about wis and sta too ... thats the bad thing about the crusader lines after eof... too many damned options SMILEY
