So I read alot about this upcoming proc change. Does anyone have any idea how it will affect our proc spells? I'd also love to know if the change will affect weapon procs. I'm not sure how the "adjustment to casting time" will work out, or what it does exactly? any info out there? I'm allllll about my procs.

Do you have any items with "On a successfull hostile spell, this spell has a XX% chance to cast XXXX on target of spell"? If no, and you don't group with a Troubador or an Illusionist very often, then you will notice 0 changes.However if you group with 1 of the 2, or both and/or have items with that affect, you will see that any spell with lower than a 2.5s cast time will not proc these abilities/items as often.

oh. OH. OHHHHHHH!!! I totally misunderstood this thing. I thought it affected ALL procs. I get it. nevermind. thanks for clearing that up!

![]() The update note states "- A spell's chance to trigger a proc is now adjusted based on its cast time." From this I read all spell related procs will be affected. I am assuming they are trying to get this inline with the melee procs they changed a few updates back. It would be nice to see some actual numbers from one of the Test Server SKs as to how much this could possibly lower DPS.

![]() it will lower all your chance on hostile cast DPS to about 1/3rd of whatever it was before...making those items essentially useless except on the most nasty of AE/ranged fights
