![]() I was wondering if there were any unsaid rules or etiquette for faceplanting group members. Like is it wrong to FD the healer before he/she dies (during a group wipe)? When is the best time to hit FD on a player, right when they gain aggro or when they only have a bubble of life left? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I have noticed that some players get really upset when I FD them, and wondered what the etiquette was. Thanks,

![]() I drop that FD when it looks like the person is going to die, to use it whenever someone gets agro is a waste of your FD. A lot of times the agro is the mob is locked in a stun, or in a briginds case they need that agro for certain abilities. Also if a say a monk takes agro, usually they can take the smacks until you can taunt it back. So hold off on that FD and use it as a last resort.

Yeah, I only use it when it looks like someone is about to die. It's always a good idea to give DPS classes a chance to dump aggro first. As for healers, FDing them is usually a good recipe for getting killed yourself. If you are going to FD a healer to make sure there is someone to rez he group for a wipe, I'd clear it with the group first. I've never thought of using it that way because normally as long as myself and the healer are up I usually consider fighting it out.Remember, FD does not drop any aggro on it's own. It just means the mob will ignore the person if they were FD'd successfully. If they stand immediately back up the mob is just going to turn around and start smacking them. Also, I consider it perfectly acceptable etiquette to use it on an annoying group member who is jumping impatiently around. It sure beats the alternative.http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php?d=20060224

![]() Ahh the good old rules of FD. Any good SK will tell you to use it on your guilds Assassin every time it refreshes. In combat or not, hearing him scream and complain every 5 minutes is well worth it. |

I often find that my reuse timer is not up, since I FD and corpse-hump anyone with the audacity to talk smack to me. Now, if they'd just make it a TOGGLE..... /change pants

![]() aye, that's what I was thinking too. Thanks for the info. I think people seem to think that (when they are being faceplanted) they are being scolded in some way. I guess they are in a way.

![]() Hehe, when I saw your topic, I thought you would just comment on FD how great it is and it RULEZ! Btw, I never used FD on anyone cuz selfish is in my nature. I rather see comrades die and it put a nice smile on my face and save my [Removed for Content] not them.. They do not deserve to live. I am not paladin.. I am [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] SK.. FDing others just to stop them from doing to interfere you for your own personal gain is good use of FD as well. Message Edited by Nocifer Deathblade on 03-31-200611:54 AM |

My guardian friend and I jokingly compete over harvest nodes and shinies all the time. So on that note with the selfish nature, macro I should write a macro... /say Get your greedy hands off of from MY rares!/useability Mortal Embrace Bwahahahah! But it is certainly one thing to do that to a friend - it's another to do it to a stranger in your group. Message Edited by Lord Montague on 03-31-200603:27 PM |

![]() Zora's rules of FDing: 1) Don't FD the MT when he's tanking a Epic x4 even if he is being a smart [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].... 2) Don't have FD above HT on your spell bars and miss click FD, MT's don't like that..... 3) Don't drink and FD at the same time, MT's don't like that.... 4) Don't FD the MT just because there Pallies and doing a good job, rest of the guild don't like that.... and lastly 5) Fding the MT twice in one night is never a good thing.
Z- never FDed a MT ever nope, not me points the finger at some one elce. :smileyvery-happy: |

![]() Well in raid situations I usually FD sexy necro friend, then while shes face down I have my way with her before she can get up. And I have FDed the MT before, but I swear to GOD I had no idea he was trying to cast Lay on Hands when I did it. But it sure made it a lot funnier.

![]() Z, you are an evil shadowknight and this post reads like your a squire to a palladin. Id quit dancing on egg shells around these MTs your talking about and grow a pair. Start with reading my rules. OP, FD when you feel like it. Players can cancel it right away and it has a shorter reuse timer than HT or rescue. If someone in your group protests, FD them again.

![]() I have FD'd a MT accidentally in a raid once before. I pulled aggro, which while uncommon happened sometimes. SKs used to do a lot of damage pre-LU13. Since I was the MA and seemed to be dying, I figured best to FD myself and let everyone keep their target instead of having to switch over and do the targeting themself. The MT regains aggro a split second before I FD, and suddenly I found myself the MT. Eh, I was young and naive in my 40s. Now, every time my intention is to FD myself, I hit F1 first! But there are positive uses for FDing the MT ... like when the raid is wiping and he accepted a rez while still fighting so you can spare him that second 10% in armor damage. This is gonna be a more popular tactic after LU22 I bet. |
