![]() How many people were wearing GEBs before (My sk often would wear gebs and use house while the jboots stayed in the bag in most encounters, was something along the lines of 20 power regen at the cost of wearing light armor boots about 150ish AC loss). Now the effectiveness of the gebs has been quartered down to 5 power regen with the latest nerf, Im worried that once more I will have to place plague sword and AoEs on the shelf or sit through a serious power outage after each encounter. How much does this hurt you and your playstyle, and does it make having gebs in the bag even worthwhile anymore? I mean its not as much power regen as a level 15 bardic song. Im thinking of just tossing them into my room and moving on to other bigger and better things. Do you think this means that MORE power regen can be had in the splitpaw saga? Only time will tell I guess. Anyone have a pocket chanter I can have?

Yea, i can see the geb nerf hurting SKs a lot. I don't own a pair myself, but i was really looking forward to the nice +20 power regen at later levels. i hope that the Splitpaw Saga brings some cool power regen items (maybe even in heavy armor variety

![]() The changes to power regen was coming, anyone who saw the insane power regen of all items knew it. too much power regen is bad design, they had to adjust. It hurts all classes really, and again I have no issue with it at all.

![]() What annoys me more then anything, was I spent approx 3-4 hrs a day for 2 or 3 weeks getting myself and all my friends their gebs. This was because the time invested was worth the return, now I sit here thinking what a craptacular waste of my time, this isnt the sbd or the jboots that takes less then a day to get, this is camping a good durn long time (not as long as screaming mace tho) and then being kicked in the butt for doing so. I dont understand how they thought putting in well over 100 power regen per tick in spells songs and gear (clarity being 36 or 40) the rest being 15-20 per item was a good idea. Im sure someone with a pencil and peice of paper was able to look at this and say hey wait one second. To do so at the end of beta (right before the deserts expansion) is too durn late in my opinion. And the SAD fact of the matter is before the change went in healers in high end raiding guilds were getting 109-138 power per tick, and after the change they 71. Thats still not going to make encounters any harder, you have to spend more power then you regen per second (12) for this to even impact where they alleged high end content. Brias is 17 power Clarity is 36/40 Prismatic is 12 Invoker 7 Geb 5 battlement 5 What this is going to do is be a little longer and maybe make people consider mana stones, and wizards even larger mana batteries (not that their spells ever landed anyways) This isnt fixing the problem, this is only damaging non power raiders. Then again I only got my prismatic and gebs (and to a lesser extent my ancestral gloves) to fix the problem of sk aggro management and our spells/skills beeing hideously over priced in terms of power, and this put be back on a level footing of not having to constantly have to med after every 2nd pull. If the current course of cowtowing to one or two guilds per server and constant beta changes going through (Changes to power regen and to the fighter arch type as drastic as this, this late into a game is unfair to the people who have chosen said professions and completed such quests). (Ie all ebon a few fables prismatic master 1 and adept 3 spells by no means the best or worst 50 sk out there) id like to remember my sk the way he was (a rogue in heavy armor) then whatever he might be tomorrow or next week, to fundamentally change the dynamic of a character after hes gotten to 50 is reprehensible. (Let alone the problems that have existed since november continue makes my skin crawl). So now Im again facing being constantly out of power, having the least versatility of plate tanks (no invis, no drains, no heals, no group buffs (to speak of), 1 debuff worth using, IN ADDITION to getting my dps nerfed, and tanking ability lowered. I knew what the limitations of my class were when I started (power issues [correctable with items], raid versatility[offset by a very high dps], no range item[??? profit ???]). But now they are all getting either worse or being compounded with changes made to game mechanics. I dont want to be the best class in game, but I do want to feel as a needed class, and that is something I am just not seeing, nor any steps being moved towards Message Edited by farbe on 06-29-2005 11:59 AM |

![]() Late in the game? [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]? Dude its barely 6months old. You know, you are paying for this right to play, so you can stop and not play? Anyone can have had the fun of the so called uber guilds, I mean quit your job, go on welfare and play 18hrs a day. Personally I think the changes were needed, and if its tougher and more challenging? awesome, kudos for me for succeeding in the face of greater opposition. I cant wait for the revamp, because honestly, I wouldnt be here in 6 more months without it. The mechanics of EQ2 are good in theory but they really really lack depth. It is so obvious they revamped late in beta, and didnt give any testing. I hear its better, but still isnt up to snuff. I have some faith, that the revamp will improve the game immensly. And if all the whiny kids leave becasuse they cant have 500pt mana regen? well so much the better. Remember a few thousand dont beta test as well as several hundred thousand.
