I cast Cursed Caress 400+ times yesterday and didn't get one Cursed Essense

I got almost half a level yesterday in CT in a marathon group and cast Cursed Caress at least 400 times, twice per mob.

I know I'm casting the correct spell, and I read in the patch message yesterday that this was supposed to be fixed and I could finally get Cursed Essenses to use with my Cursed Sacrament spell.

I checked with each of my group members and they all swore they had no essences in their inventory, and that they checked several times and made sure.

I'd love to see the SK pet, if just once.

Am I doing something wrong?

Try again today -0 don't pull with it...I got some today where yesterday it was failing...

i got 25 essences in about an hours time soloing to restock them finally. today 3/9, so i think its working fine.

Hey Ixnay I am on Blackburrow server as well and last night the essences were popping into my inventory at a very nice rate even during a raid. Give it another go think you will be pleased. I did not use it to pull with either. :smileyvery-happy:

p.s. Spirit Hawk pet is very cool; Now if it would just turn into Michelle Pheiffer when I am offline . . .

That would work, or I'd even settle for a roast beef sandwich and a 12 pack. SMILEY

Yes doing nothing differently today than I did yesterday, I got 100 essences within a few hours.

I found it interesting that even though the pet spells call for the essences by different names (tainted essence vs. cursed essense), both of the spells that produce the essences end up making the same one, and both pet spells also use the same essence. I discovered this after I got essences from exping normally, then the same essences from mentoring and using the lower level spells.

IN my testing with tainted caress yesterday, it seems to not stack with other procs now since its bassicly a buff thats cast on you when you have the mob targeted (it does not fade when the mob dies anymore) , and the proc damage spells block it if they are a higher level than whatever caress spell you are using, . i had 0 procs of tainted caress when grim harbringer was up, after i cancled that i got 100 essances in 2 hours, then put back on my grim harbringer.. hope this helps

no idea why you are not getting them. the only explanation is that they are resisting it but you are high enough lvl and you are using cursed caress as opposed to tainted... so thats a mind boggler. i get one nearly every pull, twice on some.
