After equipping merc Gear the gear stays in my inventory which is ok because its auto removed from my merc when I zone or suspend him. But the gear that stays in my inventory is placed behind other things in my inventory. Very strange.

Gear shouldn't be removing itself from the mercenary, thanks.

Gear is also being removed in merc death and logging out / back in.

Where do we get merc gear for the two right side slots that are unlocked? Did I miss a quest or something?

Accolades are variable from quests and drops.

Likewise, merc gear is disappearing upon zoning or logging out, and not going back to inventory

I crafted up splitiron platemail barbute and splitiron platemail spaulders for my merc, then dropped them on him. The items disappeared from visible inventory (I even used the inventory search feature to be sure), BUT, when I am selling items to a vendor, they show up as items that I can sell, so the merchant still thinks they are somewhere in my inventory.

On both Zarghus and the new merc Items disappear when I change or suspend mercenary. Lost an accolade and the plate helm from questing this way!

I didn't actually sell them to find out. ;D Saw that they were for sale, marked them not for sale and posted. He likely would have, though, he's greedy like that.

I logged out and back in and there was different gear on my merc which causes a loose of items.

Caith, are the mercs going to be able to equip any armor type when this goes live or will it be archetype specific?

Kind of like Zues's question. I just put a Plate Helm on my Ranger Merc and it received all the stats. Is that a bug or intended?

Mercs are not restricted from any armor types.

Excuse me Please:

I recall distinctly equipping a helm on my Perrin merc, I come back and find him without helm, and the Potent Somethingorother Helm is not in my inventory.
My merc ate his helm,...
do we need to equip merc with a food slot too? Tongue

I always thought they could feed themselves,.. but talk about being hungry Wink

it seems there are missing armor slots for my mercenary.
As I employ Perrin Wanderhoof, who is semi-humanoid, and technically does not have anthropomorphic legs nor feet.
Do I have to switch to an anthropomorphic mercenary to be able to equip leg and foot armor?

What about gauntlets? Perrin DOES have four(4) fingers and an opposable thumb; yet I can not equip armor for his hands,...

My merc cannot reach rank 2 even after the 3 days time. Also items now stay when zoning which is awesome but my merc died then i zoned and revived him and the gear was missing. But I logged out and back in and the gear was back. Also for anyone who has had their merc stash their gear under a pillow log out and back in with your merc up and the gear magically reappears. I had to do this 3 times to get all my gear back but I have it now heh.

Post-patch, my merc gear was still "sort of" disappearing. I suspended him and then resummoned him a bit later (something about forcing an argument with a ny'caelona guard to progress a quest Wink

) and items in his 4 unlocked slots went missing or invisible. I zoned and they reappeared.

There are only 4 slots for merc armor, and even those are only unlocked as you level your merc. You start out with shoulders and helm, plus 2 accolade slots unlocked, regardless of which merc you are using. The other two armor slots and 2 accolade slots, unlock as the merc gains levels.

Merc can't be trained past Rank 1, I'm clicking the full training bar but getting red text "You are already training that mercenary."

Not able to equip any merc gear on Lor'ekjut....receiving message that says "slot unavailable" on ALL slots - are the special mercs not able to equip gear? I could put a piece on a "standard" merc

I'm having the saem trouble with my merc zughrus he won't go past rank 1 and it wont' let me train him. Istarted his training on tuesday.

I fixed an issue where mercs would not advance to next rank if they completed the remaining time while offline. This should be in the next update (or two).
