![]() I'm a 59 Bruiser and have just joined a raiding guild. The first thing I have noticed immediately when raiding mobs is that there is a good amount that are Immuned to Crushing. For Warrior/ Crusader / Scout classes, this is not a problem as they can switch up to either slashing or piercing. Same principle applies when the mob is immuned to slashing / piercing, they can switch it up to Crushing. It does not seem that we have many options as we can not use Slashing nor Piercing when we encounter these mobs that are immuned to Crushing. Would hanging back and throwing Tomahawks / Ninja Stars at the mob be the only effect way for us to do any thing during these encounters? What do you Do / Use to make yourself useful during these Immuned to Crushing Raid Mobs? Thanks

![]() Imbued Cestii (slashing damage)
Imbued Cestus (piercing damage)
Carry two of one or the other... no mobs ever slashing and piercing immune |

![]() Looked up Imbued Cestii or Imbued Cestus weapons but they were not coming up on Ogaming. Other Cestii and Cestus weapons are however but are listed as Crushing weapons. The Imbued ones will be different however? |

![]() they are listed as crushing, because they utilize yoru crushing skill, to see if they hit. HOWEVER.... if you look at damage log, the damage inflicted will in fact be Piercing or slashing.

Just a side note. My 54 scout cannot use crushing weapons. Believe me I wish I could I would jump on screaming mace until I finish Prismatic quests. Only Warrior/crusader have access to all 3 trauma type weapon skills as far as I know.

A few weapons that do different damage are not really access to all 3 trauma weapon skills. My scout cannot pick up a table leg or random hefty stick and beat someone with it.../boggle

![]() Sure there is. It's not like crushing weapons were ever banned from scout use by any RL or fantasy genre I can think of, just the opposite in fact. I could understand not giving access to 2handers and restricting certain 1 handers by class but pretty much any common, light martial type weapons should be free access to all scouts. As if a rogue would never hit someone on the back of the head with a club... /slaps SOE devs. While there are many RL/Fantasy genres that do not restrict martial artist types to specific weapons there are also many more that do have restrictions. Historically many martial arts were formed because ruling kingdoms had outlawed possession of weapons, so the need for fighting styles that did not rely on weapons (hands, feet, body and common items like staves and farming tools mostly) sprang up.

I was not arguing with you about realism and what other games/genres do... thats a whole nother subject that I would probably agree with you about. My statements were meant to refer to in game usefulness. |

Not really useful gamewise IMO when there's like a tiny handful of scout melee and expendable blunt arrows for my crappy ranged DPS heh. Sure I can hit a mob but I would much rather have the option hitting the mob at the same level as my rapier or axe/sword. Like buying rare player made or other easily obtainable legendary/fabled gear that matches my tier and has the abilities and stats I want. My brawler still has that option for the most part. My scout does not. Really makes no sense.
