Was curious who has actually tested this and what is best to use now? Bo Staff I would guess for tanking is the best option now seeing as how slower weapons get riposted more.. what a change : /.

RGF = Riposte almost every swing, same for Cobalt Greatmace *Sigh*

Anything over 2.2 sec delay seems to be a riposte 85-95% of the time.

Logic would dictate that for the Duel Wield weapons the Pristine Tailored Scaled Leather Fist Wraps are the best choice for tanking if you want the least amount of Ripostes, because they have a delay of 1.4 and are thus the fastest duel-wield weapons available to us. But it remains to be tested how they compare to two-handers of various delay. For reference the other duel-wield weapons have a delay ofIronwood Fighting Baton 1.5Scaled Spiked Cestus 1.6Cobalt Rod 1.6Cobalt Knuckles 1.7Ironwood Cudgel 1.7Ironwood Quarter Staff 1.8Cobalt Mace 1.9Scaled Cestii 2.0

I tanked a bit yesterday after the patch, I was using the RGF, there is no way I got riposted 85% of the time, I would have basically killed myself every time, but in fact I hardly even noticed any difference. Will have to experiment more with 2hnders and dual wields though to see which has an advantage, if any.

Since they are supposedly making it so it's based on delay... wouldn't that mean that you'd have the same amount of ripostes over a given time, kinda like your procs?

So yeah.. it'll SEEM like more on a slow two hander... but it is in fact the same amount over time.

Some situations still call for 2h, like damage shields or when something has reactive heals on.  But for tanking, I choose DW now
